Days Gone is not a perfect game. It never quite reaches the narrative mastery of The Last Of Us nor does it manage to instil the same awe-inspiring exploration games like Assassin's Creed have managed so successfully in the past. Its zombies are far less intimidating than those in Dying Light and some of the core gameplay loops, including Deacon's motorbike maintenance, are outright detrimental to the entire experience. Yet as I played through the 65+ hours of this open world game, Day's Gone really started to grow on me. So much so that if you can persevere with the issues, Day's Gone opens up in the best possible way to deliver a memorable and narratively compelling adventure well worth experiencing.

If your patient enough to get through the opening hours, you have a great game in front of you. If Days Gone grabs you as it did me, it is a very long game full of content that will keep you entertained for quite a while.

Bend Studios new IP since Syphon Filter is definitely an interesting setting with some good characters. Unfortunately the narrative doesn't have a good pacing and the gameplay can feel repetitive most of the time. Is a beautiful game to look at and the Freaker hordes are terrifying and fun to fight, but the good moments go pretty far in between.

Days Gone is a video game that will conquer you if you like the sandbox genre and survival, a bit long and repetitive, but it has original ingredients that can catch your attention.

Days Gone may have the heart and soul of a champion. However, it still needs more spit and shine, especially in the gameplay and flow department, before it can become a big-league player.

Although Days Gone may not easily compete with the rest of Sony's first party titles in technical terms, it does a good job in realizing its vision and standing worthy as another new exclusive IP with substantial foundations for the future.

The gameplay elements somehow feels repetitive but the visuals and story keeps the player intact until the end. One biggest flaw is the unstable frame drops and minor glitches that happen along the progression which we hope that it’s something that can be fixed with an optimization patch in the near future. If Sony had put in thought and ambition for this game to be their one of the important promotion titles, they should have considered these technicalities before releasing to the public. The gamers who play these so called ‘major promotion title games’ should have a better experience than the gamers who play these games at a much later date with patches and bug fixes since the original release.

Bend Studio really went above and beyond on this one and I appreciate the hell out of them for the extra care and attention they gave this PC release. They included features that even most PC-first developers often overlook and have set the bar high on other potential PlayStation to PC releases in the future.

If you’re going to play Days Gone, do yourself a favor and play it on PC. There’s a decent level of options here for PC players to fine-tune their experience and even quality-of-life features missing from other PC-only titles. The story can be messy, but the more you progress, the clearer the intent of this staggered narrative becomes. The level of immersion is high in some areas, but Days Gone knows when to be a game and when to challenge the player’s patience with mundane systems. This game is a must for survival action fans.

Days Gone is a different kind of zombie post-apocalypse with survival elements, even if its story is mostly forgettable. Its world feels alive and dynamic set in the wilderness of Oregon. While not outright demanding you play stealthily, it will be satisfying for doing so. Though when it’s time for action, the game keeps up with a healthy amount of weapons and tools to dispose of the swarm trying to kill you. It may not be a masterpiece, but it is one hell of a ride.

Days Gone is a production that's close to being "very good" but remains a "good game", and I recommend playing it.

Days Gone on Steam is a very competent port with lots of options to tailor to your PC. It’s a great game but still suffers from pacing issues, especially early on.

Days Gone on the PC is a great experience that brings a stellar upgrade for graphics that take full advantage of the dynamic weather system. And, with a much smoother ride than it got on console, this is well worth the buy for PC-players looking to get in on zombie action. While it definitely plays better on controller, the experience is still a great one.

Days Gone is neither among the best PlayStation exclusives, nor one of the most original games out there, but what it offers is, for the most part, pretty good.

Days Gone’s post-apocalyptic Oregon looks great and plays even better on PC, giving anti-hero Deacon St. John the redemption arc he deserves.

It isn't going to be the best or most memorable one-of-these you'll ever play, but Days Gone on the PC is a solid checkbox open-world zombie experience to sink a few dozen hours into.

So overall, while the graphic upgrades to Days Gone on the PC (as long as the PC can handle it) are amazing especially compared to either a Sony PlayStation 4 or PlayStation 4 Pro, Days Gone is still the same title and that’s not a bad thing. Between the non-linear storyline that lets you explore at your own pace and the solid gameplay design that is just as easy to handle twenty, thirty, or forty hours down the line as it is in the beginning, there’s plenty to do, love and explore in a world that’s seen better days.

At this PC version, the graphics were improved and there was no optimization problem and bugs. But unfortunately, the old matters remain. It still has attractive story and its familiar combat system gives a lot of fun as you expect, but its monotonous sub-quests and hollow open worlds may disappoint you.

Days Gone is a good action game in which the player must deal with hordes of zombies and try to survive, managing their inventory as much as possible. Although its history and gameplay are generic, its technical performance on the PC is commendable, and it is worth checking out for those who like action games.
