Metro Exodus Reviews
Exodus isn’t content to just be one kind of first-person shooter. After an open first half focused on survival and exploration, the latter portion plays much more like its linear predecessors, to mixed results. The final two of Exodus’ four major locations suffer from their own particular issues, as well as more exasperating versions of issues that pop up all throughout the rest of the game.
Regardless of its limitations, Exodus still deserves its place among its underground comrades. In many ways it’s better, and I’m very glad they didn’t just repeat the same subterranean journey again.
Metro Exodus demands patience and prior knowledge if you’re looking to appreciate every narrative moment, and the control scheme is likely to confound new players, but it’s an essential purchase to fans of the prior games that want to see Artyom’s journey through to the end.
It is a great game that had to smear itself in a layer of whatever-nothing to convince you that it belonged in a certain genre. But like the octopus pretending to be a rock, Metro Exodus is a brilliant creature in the guise of a worse one. With some time, energy, and emotional investment it springs to life.
Following the trend of open world games, Metro Exodus tries to do some interesting things with its open world, that unfortunately a lot of times feels empty and the level design isn't as tight as we see in Last Light, but the game fills it's shoes with a great cast of characters, a pretty interesting setting and a beautiful world to look at.

Metro Exodus may be bigger than previous Metro games, but it’s a larger shell that begs to be filled with something polished, interesting and unique.
We could not have asked for anything better to end Artyom's journey. Metro Exodus is the worthy conclusion of a saga that since 2033 had shown to give emotions that only some single-player can give. Even if we left the gloomy atmosphere of the subway, we found ourselves faced with a world that was not at all friendly and therefore extraordinary

Metro Exodus proves that you can have atmosphere and tension in above ground, open areas, but it still shines best in confined, dark spaces. Despite all the modifications, most weapons end up feeling very similar, and you will probably stick to the weapons that you can craft ammo for in the field anyway.
Despite shortcomings like a rather by the numbers level of quality of side missions, poor performance both visually and audibly, Metro Exodus still manages to deliver a compelling experience. Thanks to its meaty crafting and gun customization, a beautiful character-driven story focused more on humans than the fantastical, and a world built around fear, desolation, and tension, Exodus will definitely be one of 2019's most talked about games by the end of the year.
Metro Exodus is a masterpiece in survival horror, and a game that evolves beyond its roots to transform into something truly special.
Powerful atmosphere, interesting locations, non-linearity and beautiful graphics should please fans of Metro and genre in gereral. If you are afraid of bugs, it is better to postpone the purchase and wait for patches. If not, you can safely run to the store. The game will not disappoint you.

Metro Exodus isn’t a perfect game, but it’s a refreshing update to the franchise.
Metro Exodus offers a powerful story and a wonderful world but is full of technical errors and very bad artificial intelligence.

The game ultimately seems less interested in the process of how humanity breaks down than its grisly end results.
Metro Exodus is a great journey in a dark, dystopian world. the mix between open playgrounds and linear design is very well done, and there is enough content to keep you busy for quite some time.

Metro Exodus does the most right and is far superior to its predecessors on virtually all points. The semi-open world is lovingly built, as is the interaction with the side characters. What stands out most, however, is the dense atmosphere that constantly makes us sit on full strains.

Metro Exodus makes great progress in terms of open-world and battle system. And of course, it offers an outstanding thrilling story just like its prequels.

"When a little girls asks you to get her teddy bear from a nest of giant, evil bat mutants, YOU GET THAT TEDDY BEAR."
Metro Exodus is an impressive experience, and by far one of the most ambitious sequels I’ve ever reviewed in my career.
