I feel once you have played the story, there’s little re-playability as you know will know the ending and how it plays out. Its a very story driven game and this is where DLC’s and expansions are going to help enhance it and keep building on the world down the road. However, from someone who doesn’t pick up a single player/office game, I loved this game. It keeps me very immersed in the story to the point I had to take breaks before facing the world again and continue on with Amicia’s story. I highly recommend playing this game and from that, I award A Plague Tale: Innocence a Thumb Culture Gold award. Now, lets get back to contiuning on Amicia’s adventure!
Overall I really enjoyed the game, there a few minor quibbles in terms of the guided nature of the flow and the fact that towards the end you really do realise that you cant really go too wrong. There are not too many consequences to making poor choices either but I wouldn’t let this put you off what is essentially a very good game.
A Plague Tale: Innocence took us by surprise as one of the most endearing games so far this year. A linear experience focused on the journey of two brothers through the mud and blood, while they run away from the Inquisition and face the dangers of the Great Plague. With familiar mechanics and a satisfying gameplay through the story, A Plague Tale: Innocence is a great break from the all explosive games in the market.

All that really has to be said about A Plague’s Tale: Innocence, is that it is a neat adventure game, which has significantly exceeded my expectations, and while those were not very profound to begin with, then even I have to admit that A Plague’s Tale: Innocence is ten times the game which I, and many others expected it to be. It may not have some of the certain AAA qualities, due to its clearly limited, AA budget – then ultimately it offers an experience, which is above and beyond games such as Anthem or Fallout 76, and feels like a breath of fresh air in the always online, games as a service, world.
A Plague Tale Innocence isn't a flawless experience, but it's certainly a superb one. The game features plenty of solid stealth and puzzle mechanics, an intriguing narrative, some beautiful environments, and one of the best video game soundtracks in recent memory. It's a title which puts fairly unknown developer Asobo Studio firmly on the map. A Plague Tale is well worth your hard earned cash.
Asobo Studio has crafted an exceptionally dark atmosphere that brings the journey of its innocent characters to life. Both action and stealth-oriented players will find something to love in the mechanics despite their leading nature towards a particular playstyle. Those that love an immersive experience will be engrossed by the highly detailed, grim world. Some frustration with later levels may hinder the impact of the ending, but, regardless, A Plague Tale is a gorgeous game with endearing characters and smooth gameplay that showcases the potential of Asobo Studio.
A Plague Tale: Innocence is an outstanding game that not only manages to deliver an impressively constant and tense tone, but also a really gripping story that will have to push through your vermin soaked nightmares to find out what happens next.
A Plague Tale delivers on the technical side (PC Version) and manages to build well made characters and a good story with in a fresh setting. Even when the game doesn't uses its full potential and the gameplay mostly ends up very generic, you should still take this emotional adventure with these versatile protagonists.

A Plague Tale offers a compelling narrative that revolves around the emotional bond shared between a brother and sister. The excellence in storytelling overcomes its shortcoming in gameplay where stealth takes the main focus.
A Plague Tale comes so achingly close to the brilliance of a Hellblade, but sadly where Ninja Theory's "blockbuster indie" project is a masterpiece, Armicia's story is "just" a page-turner.
It isn’t perfect, but A Plague Tale: Innocence‘s combination of gripping storytelling, excellent characterisation and varied gameplay, all tied together in a package with outstanding audiovisual design, makes for an experience you won’t forget in a hurry.

Despite the confinement in bog-standard AAA conventions and set-piece tropes on occasion, the same can not be said for the execution of its story and of its characters, which — barring the next six months — may go down as one of the best and most surprisingly unique examples you're likely to find this year.
A Plague Tale: Innocence would benefit from less busywork, but the grisly scenery and the sibling relationship at its core help make up for any shortcomings.
The scene of crossing a battlefield, with hundreds of lifeless bodies piled over each other, only to see a swarm of rats bursting out of a horse's bloated corpse is just one of multiple sights that A Plague Tale: Innocence inevitably etches into your mind. Although its stealth and puzzle mechanics aren't exactly fresh, having what's, quite possibly, the most powerful representation of the Black Death in the medium, even if stylized, is reason enough to see Amicia and Hugo's journey to its end.

A Plague Tale, at times, feels like a missing early chapter of the Assassin's Creed catalogue. Its ability to bend a truly fascinating point in documented history into a fantastical, mythical story that keeps you invested from start to finish is remarkable. It's a cinematic journey that is uncomplicated in its delivery, managing to occupy gamers without distracting from the game's narrative and the bond that develops between the de Rune siblings which, in the end, is A Plague Tale's undoubted strength.
