This sets the tone because everything here is, for lack of a better word, better than ever.
The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening fits right at home on the Switch, feeling like a fresh title despite being over twenty years old
The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening is an amazing remake that gives new life to a game 26 year old, with a brilliant art style and a perfect progression tied to the finding and the use of accessories. The only technical flaws is represented by some frame rate issues during the transition from an area to another one.

The Legend of Zelda Link's Awakening brings a classic story from the Game Boy era to the Switch with great results. I'm thrilled to have gotten to play this game again, and I hope you'll try it out too.
Nintendo once again reaches back to the past to bring back one of its best games – the mobile adventures of a certain warrior in a green outfit. The Legend of Zelda: Link’s Awakening is basically a brand new game that generates tons of fun even without the cult surrounding the series. If not for some technical issues, it would have been perfect.

It's honestly hard to hate The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening. Sure, it can be hard to progress at first and not a whole lot is different besides graphics but it's still among the best Zelda games. Add to it the charming visuals and simply fun gameplay and you'll quickly look past the flaws. Maybe not to the point where absolutely everyone needs to try it, though I would strongly suggest it if you like the look or never played the original.
Takashi Tezuka and Shigeru Miyamoto should be incredibly proud of this amazing rendition. It captures everything it needs to and sets the bar for classic remasters.
Despite being over a quarter of a century old, the gameplay holds up remarkably well, especially the short and sweet dungeons and delectable puzzles. It’s one of the shorter Zelda games, clocking in at 8-10 hours, but it’s quality over quantity with a relaxing and familiar The Legend of Zelda jaunt.
The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening is another must-play Nintendo Switch game. It still stands the test of time and in no way feels outdated, which is impressive for a 20 year old game. Don't let performance issues and a high price point stop you from playing this absolute classic.
Proof that traditional Zelda is just as essential now as it was back in 1993.
Legend of Zelda - Link’s Awakening is great remake of the classic. Beautiful visuals, updated controls and an added Dungeon builder all breath new life into the title. Despite some frame rate issues, the game is a blast to play through and worth picking up not only if you love Zelda but also for those looking for an easy point of entry into the franchise.
This is old-school Zelda the way you’d like to remember it.
Link's Awakening is the best top-down Zelda to date.
Nintendo could’ve just taken the easy way out with Link’s Awakening. Instead, it brought back a gaming classic by remaking it from the ground up while keeping all the wonderful things that made games such as the original a bonafide treat. The new look won’t be for everyone and the Switch struggles at times when there’s too much going on. But those are minor quibbles for a game that reminds us why the top-down Zelda games were so beloved in the first place. Link’s Awakening is a charming remake done oh-so right. One last tip: don’t steal anything. Seriously.
