Super Monkey Ball: Banana Blitz HD Reviews
Super Monkey Ball Blitz HD is a pretty competent high-definition rerelease, but I wouldn’t agree on the price tag. $40 seems a bit high for what can be interpreted as a resolution and framerate bump on a game from 2006.
Despite faint glimpses of the greatness that could’ve been, you’d be better served waiting for the proper reboot that this franchise absolutely deserves.
A welcome revival of a much-loved franchise, although Banana Blitz was never the best entry and Sega has had to accept too many compromises in porting it from the Wii.
Super Monkey Ball: Banana Blitz HD could be a wonderfully fun and enjoyable game. Sadly, control difficulties and horrendous camera mechanics greatly diminish the fun to be had.
A bargain price benefits this remastered re-release; while it’s better without motion controls and a majority of uninspired mini-games, there’s not a terrible amount to do in the end.
From the start I was always a fan of the Super Monkey Ball series...
Super Monkey Ball Banana Blitz HD promises the old and trusted gameplay but with an all new graphic layout that promises hours of fun.

Super Monkey Ball: Banana Blitz HD is a game that I really enjoyed at first, only for things to hit a brick wall upon noticing the edits they made to try and change levels with normal controls in mind, as with the case with the aforementioned hellish challenge that is Stage 7-2, alongside those boring waiting levels and boss fights.
If you are a saga lover or you are one of those who likes games that are a real challenge we can not do anything other than recommend this Super Monkey Ball: Banana Blitz HD. Of course, prepare large doses of patience especially if you intend to get all the champion medals.

GOOD - Normally when a company goes through the trouble of converting a game to HD they choose the best in the series, but Sega has decided to bring Super Monkey Ball: Banana Blitz HD to current video game consoles. While not a bad game by any means, I think most would consider the first two GameCube games the best in the series. This one is still just as zany and does deliver in the fun department, but sensitive controls, needless boss battles, and ho-hum multiplayer mini-games hold it back from true greatness.
Super Monkey Ball: Banana Blitz HD is a beautiful remaster of an oft-maligned entry in the series. It's far from perfect, but there's a lot of fun to be had mastering its courses.
As fun as its original release, Super Monkey Ball: Banana Blitz HD could have included more extras to justify its remastered relaunch, because Sonic, no matter how cool it is, is not enough.

I wanted to like this game, as I am a huge fan of the franchise, but this banana does not pass the smell test.
Super Monkey Ball: Banana Blitz HD is a game with a simple proposal, but it turns out to be quite challenging in the final stages. The difficulty becomes frustrating, depending on your interest in the game. Minigames are something else, but nothing that makes you spend a lot of time on them, even in multiplayer. In the end, Super Monkey Ball: Banana Blitz HD ends up offering little content to the player.

This series was long overdue for a console return, and in that way the game succeeds.
Super Monkey Ball: Banana Blitz HD is one of the most disappointing video game remasters ever.
Super Monkey Ball: Banana Blitz HD is a job of remastering well done, as we would like to see more often applied also to titles of greater appeal.

Anyone with any love of Monkey Ball would be doing themselves a disservice not picking up a way better version of a game that was hindered by motion control.
After nearly 14 years Super Monkey Ball Banana Blitz is still an entertaining piece of software despite some minor flaws.
