Infused with a novel concept, Super Time Force is both fun and frustrating.

At $14.99, Super Time Force is a great buy, and highly replayable as more characters are unlocked. There are badges to be earned for each stage (you can pick exactly what stages/segments of missions to replay) for picking up items and the sort. It's a unique, polished and challenging adventure that's absolutely worth your time. And the best part is, completing a stage and re-watching it in real-time. It looks like co-op multiplayer on crack, but it's all you.

Super Time Force brings a time traveling twist to the classic sidescrolling shooter, and while playing it can feel like you've chugged one too many energy drinks, the hilarious charm and satisfying gameplay helps take the edge off.

Super Time Force gleefully shreds conventional concepts of time travel in both its writing and gameplay, making it a refreshing twist on the side-scrolling shooter.

The best game on the Xbox One is not a heavily mo-capped Roman battle simulator; it's not car porn, nor is it a parkour-filled first-person shooter. No, the flagship title on Microsoft's shiny new console is a pixelated, 2D bullet hell game, combining shades of Contra and Braid to make something incredibly special.

It can be frustrating, but Super Time Force is a brilliant concept, executed well.

Super T.I.M.E. Force's writing can be obnoxious, but the strength of the gameplay conceit carries it through. Making death less punitive puts a unique spin on a staid genre. Using these tools to solve the combat scenarios is a blast, and worth suffering through some of the silliness and frustration.

An imaginative spin on retro 2D shooters, whose unconventional gameplay and visuals are a prime example of what makes indie gaming so exciting – despite some notable rough edges.

In all Super Time Force, is a humorous romp through the ages, but the core rewinding mechanic that makes it different fosters a love-hate relationship. It's both an asset and an obstacle, but with tons of characters and a quirky storyline, you'll find the space and time to enjoy yourself.

Super Time Force is good enough that I expect to see people throwing themselves against the crucible of a perfect STF run for years to come.

Super Time Force is an awesome game from bottom to top.  The combination of the impressive presentation and time-bending mechanics left me captivated at times.  Fast forwarding and rewinding through my current playthrough to find just the right time to jump back into the action was addictive, and the goofy storyline was enough to keep me invested for the duration.

It gives some the bigger titles a run for their money in terms of playability and fun. Sure, the learning curve can be a bit steep and the look and feel may turn off some newer gamers but the rewards are sweet enough for everyone to love this quirky downloadable title.

Super Time Force is an absolutely insane ride drenched with humor and pop culture references. It may be silly, but it's one of the best games available on the Xbox One right now, and is absolutely deserving of your attention

Super TIME Force is exceptional in almost every way; the art is beautiful, the tunes are jammin', the game-play is inventive, and the plot is genuinely funny. My only issue is the level design doesn't match the how truly phenomenal the rest of the game is.

Super Time Force may not look like a complex shooter that's full of depth, but as that old adage goes, "A picture is worth a thousand words." Most of those words are going to be expletives when playing STF, but cursing at a game has never been more enjoyable. When you add in the stellar chiptune soundtrack, loads of replayability and a silly narrative packed with sophomoric charm, it's easy to understand why we've been making so much time to play Capy's Super Time Force. You should, too.
