Control: The Foundation Reviews
Despite the rather short length, The Foundation is an example of how DLC really should be. It feels different, adds a lot to the story, doesn't forget what made the original great and tries its own thing instead of leaning on what worked in the past. Odds are you'll be fascinated by the answers that just leave you with more questions and delighted with new obstacles to overcome. In all and all, The Foundation left me wanting more and I can not wait to see where the next expansion takes us.
An experience that reduces the bulk of files and audio logs that personify the narrative delivery of the base game, in favor of vertical platforming and fight sequences with the Hiss.
Despite some grievances, Remedy's newest expansion is a worthwhile compliment to the fantastic base game.
Die-hard fans of Control are certain to enjoy their time with The Foundation but anyone who found the core gameplay experience frustrating, either mechanically or technically, will find very little incentive to return.
With the main house in some semblance of order, Jesse must now go down to the basement to make sure the Foundation remains solid.
The Foundation is a decent expansion that greatly enriched the gameplay and background story. It definitely worth trying if you enjoy Control.

If you found yourself turning over every stone in Control, The Foundation DLC will reward you with answers and new questions alike.
So, if you love Control, definitely consider picking it up.
I enjoyed a lot of my time with The Foundation, but I'm left wondering how much of a lasting impact it'll have on the Control universe as a whole. It felt more like an entertaining distraction than a large step forward, but I had no problem eating up all the lore, info and strange encounters I could find. If you're a fan of the game and thought it was one of the best games of 2019, you'll see that poking around in the underbelly of the Oldest House is well worth the time.
The first DLC of control adds more value to the package by adding new gameplay mechanics and telling a different aspect of Oldest House story.

The Foundation DLC furthers the main story of the narrative-heavy Control in a meaningful way and adds genuinely engaging new gamepaly and content.
The Foundation gives new powers to Jesse and also shows us a little bit more of the story behind the Old House. Unfortunately, the story feels a little undercooked in favor of the newfound abilities of the director which due to the nature of the game is not great.

Control: The Foundation is a rock-solid expansion that provides more of the explosive action, mind-bending mystery, and quirky humor that makes the main game so much fun.
The Foundation is a worthy continuation of the Control’s storyline, that plays just as well as the main game, with some additions that while not game-changing, are nice to have.
In defitiva The Foundation is an honest DLC for a title that continues to defend itself and make players fall in love. The product attempts to expand the proposal of the original title through new gameplay solutions and new visual solutions, not always succeeding at full potential but still giving a respectable amount of hours of fun. The Foundation is a product that winks at all those who have been caged in the dazzling mythology of the mother title, offering this kind of players, answers and questions able to send forward lucubrations for several weeks, waiting for the arrival of the closing of the circle marked Remedy.

Control was already an outstanding science-fiction adventure. Full of impressive moments that has protagonist Jesse Faden diving deeper into the supernatural world. The Foundation is the first story expansion in Control's season pass and it doesn't disappoint. Providing an entirely new area to explore and builds on the existing story as Jesse takes on a new challenge that will leave her wondering if she can handle being the Director of the FBC.
A great expansion to the strange world of Control full of content to the real fans, looking for a new reason to jump in an use Jesse's abilities to it's fullest.

Playing The Foundation gives me a lot of hope for the next expansion. If the Alan Wake connection is really going grow deeper, then it’s something I really look forward to. Hopefully I can keep my expectations in check, but I’m confident that Remedy can handle this. The Foundation makes that clear to me, and if the next expansion is even remotely as good as this one, fans have a lot to look forward to. This is an awesome expansion for anyone that enjoyed the original game, and it’s well worth checking out.
Remedy takes a step back with the odd happenings in the Bureau, and while the place is in dire straights, it doesn’t overwhelm you with that feeling because Jesse is so powerful now. Over the course of four hours, The Foundation solves its own mysteries in a satisfying way, while leaving the door open for what’s to come in Expansion 2. It also never spends too long on any one thing, and it feels like you’re repairing something over time. CONTROL – The Foundation maintains momentum from the main story without ever slowing down.
