Make no mistake. Just Dance 2022 is Just Dance 2021 (and 2020, and 2019) all over again. Also, make no mistake, this remains tons of fun. Sure, nothing has really changed, but if it ain't broke, why fix it. Sadly, while there has been a pretty strong improvement on the visual front, with the people behind this experimenting way more with the videos and the choreography, the soundtrack is one of the least impressive in the franchise.

The modern dance visuals and the addition of popular songs in Just Dance 2022 will likely appeal to longtime fans of the game; however, those who are new to the series may want to opt for a version a few years older, and purchase the Just Dance Unlimited subscription instead, to save money and learn gameplay with songs that have easier dance moves. While unlikely at this time, the option to permanently purchase past songs as DLC would be a big benefit for Just Dance 2022, allowing players to pay a one-time fee for their favorite songs, rather than a monthly steep monthly cost for songs that may not get played.

Just Dance 2022 is okay. It's more of the same with some cool new tracks, a slick and smooth experience overall that plays it safe and works just fine as a result. However, it also constantly pushes its subscription service and ends up feeling a little convoluted and tacky as it spends more time flogging tracks you don't own over letting you enjoy the ones included with the base game. Fans of the series - or anyone who's just danced to even a single track from the series - will know exactly what they're getting here, but newcomers should be aware that they'll need to fork out more cash after buying the game in order to enjoy the full experience.

Just Dance 2022 is more or less the same as the previous year, presenting a selection of the latest hits while innovating slightly in regards to their visual presentation.

‎For the time being, we have to make do with the annual editions, where the game, especially due to the strange price construction and the lack of real innovation, unfortunately does not rise above mediocrity.‎

With the unlimited subscription model, the playlist expands endlessly just as much as the enjoyment from the dances that come with it. Looks like there needs to be some work to be done on the experimental elements using the smartphone but it will still provide a decent amount of family fun and exercise.

Just Dance 2022 has worked really hard to add several fun choreographies and a rich and varied song selection: these efforts will certainly be appreciated by the long-time fans of the series.

Just Dance 2022 is once again the best way to stay in shape. As every year, its arrival at home is a family activity that we enjoy very much.

Just Dance 2022 is a good Just Dance. Maybe even better than last year's, because despite the fact that Ubisoft has not made any changes, the choreographies and their graphic designs look phenomenal.

If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it, and Just Dance 2022 maintains the formula for both good and bad.

Just Dance 2022 does not manage to eradicate the criticisms of its last predecessors either. The all-round package is simply not valued enough for that. Nevertheless, the current offshoot manages to convince on many points. The choreographies are excellently worked out, well thought out and extremely sweaty. Fans can access it without hesitation, but this time also newcomers.

Still good opportunity to move your body with great music. But there are not real new options.

The whole business model leaves a bad taste in my mouth and otherwise tarnishes a near-perfect, joyful experience. It also makes it that much harder to recommend — I’m loving it right this second, but that won’t be the case in a couple months.

Aside from the in-your-face self-promotion, lack of evolution, and sketchy phone control, Just Dance 2022 retains the positive elements that have kept both would-be and accomplished dancers coming back for each new version. The starting setlist is relatively strong, and there are lots of options to craft the experience. How long the good times last probably depends on whether you’re willing to finally cave and buy into the Unlimited option to get your sweaty hands on those 700 other songs. There’s a way in which Just Dance 2022 feels more like a starter pack than a full game, but it’s still a great excuse for us sedentary endomorphs with multiple left feet to move and have fun.

Just Dance 2022 may be familiar, and it may bring little that's new to the table, but it's still a hell of a lot of fun.

A nice 2022 iteration with few new features and a very good selection of songs.

‎Just Dance and its franchise never fails. There will always be songs that please someone they are with, the number of titles and different styles make it accessible to all types of audiences and the same you can set up in your living room a Disney party for your children with dances of the mythical songs, such as a K-Pop dance competition at the highest level with the original choreography of Korean pop groups.‎

The title has surprised me brining a good music list with what were the conventional choreographies from past editions, but it lacks something more. The franchise seems to be entering a new stage, exploring choreographies with movement capture, 3D animation and stop-motion. All of those are well done and are likely to return in future games. But, just as I said in the Just Dance 2021 review, having good music and choreographies is not enough to make a good game. The menus and modes are neglected in a worrying way. It was disappointing to see the same menu [from the last edition] and the lack of additions or changes in the modes available.

Without reinventing the wheel, Just Dance 2022 delivers what it promises to do every year: offering the current hits to provide a big party on Switch. Though it doesn't have any significant changes to the series and has a few inconveniences because of the subscription service, the new release hits the mark in its music list, choreographies, visuals and gameplay criteria, making it one of the best editions in the popular dance series to date.

‎Although there are few novelties of its last delivery to this, Just Dance 2022 celebrates another year when it comes to making us have a good time alone or in company. The themes vary a lot and some genres have been added that had not been seen almost in the game, to that, added to its different difficulties, we have a perfect title for any party or celebration.‎
