Despite the repetitive nature of Nobody Saves the World, the lows never outweigh the highs of completing quests, upgrading abilities, and mixing and matching new class combinations. The map size and story length aren't overly large, so even if it wears out its welcome a bit, it isn't as egregious as it could have been. Leveling up and crushing waves of enemies never stopped feeling good, even after this Nobody had rolled credits.

Nobody Saves the World is a thrillingly well-paced and enjoyable action adventure that Switch owners won't want to miss. An addictive quest system, surprisingly deep class system, attractive art style, and punchy combat all come together to make for a varied and engaging experience that oozes quality at every turn. If you're a fan of RPGs with a lot of customization, old-school Zelda games, or classic arcade beat 'em ups, Nobody Saves the World is absolutely a title you need to add to your library.

Nobody Saves the World offers an interesting shapeshifting mechanic that is instrumental to the gameplay; however, the drawn-out reliance on repetitive quests holds it back from metamorphosising into its true potential.

The further you progress in Nobody Saves the World, the more absurdity you encounter, and it's wonderful.

I have loved every Drinkbox Studios game I have played. I loved the uncanny Mutant Blobs Attack, the Guacamelee series is one of my favourite Metroidvania’s ever created and Severed was so brilliantly unique on the PlayStation Vita. Their art style is unique, their gameplay rewarding but most of all, everything Drinkbox Studios make, is fun and let’s face it, that is why we are all here.

Nobody Saves The World takes you to a world not knowing about your existence, and having to use a number of forms to survive. It's not like the average role-playing game and it’s great that it turned out to be this enjoyable. Especially with its uniqueness.

Nobody Saves the World is an almost fun product with interesting ideas such as the existence of several multiple playable characters with a completely different combat system that the player can very well personalize in terms of combat style.

Nobody Saves the World is a hack n' slash that starts from a quite casual approach, due to the lack of both inventory and skill points distribution, but shows its real depth after a few hours of play, when we are called to experiment with thousands of different builds to to better tear all enemies to pieces. The repetitiveness that generally plagues this kind of games is kept under control thanks to fun quests and a plot that takes us on a tour around a crazy world. Absolutely recommended both for hack n' slash lovers and for those who want to approach to this genre of games without taking them too seriously.

Nobody Saves the World is a lot of fun and explores its mechanics in a very well-designed way. Even with its rough edges, it's very hard not to recommend it.

My first playthrough took about 20 hours; the game crashed only once, and I only lost a few minutes of progress. The rebalancing offered by New Game+ and online co-op make it very tempting for me to start my next playthrough— although the bog-standard setting and milquetoast humor slightly dampen my enthusiasm. Still, this is an excellent retro action game with razor-sharp mechanics that I highly recommend.

Nobody Saves the World is a creative and over-the-top interpretation of action RPGs. The biggest highlight is the variety of bizarre transformations with different abilities and characteristics, and the customization options open up several possibilities when facing the challenges. In addition, the vibrant, humorous and content-filled world encourages us to constantly experiment. Even so, some details are problematic, such as the uncreative dungeons, superficiality of some combats and the moments of repetition. However, the charismatic and colorful atmosphere, together with the agile mechanics, mitigate the problems. In the end, Nobody Saves the World is a light and fun experience.

Nobody saves the world is a vast array of fun ideas made game, proving once again the talent of the people at DrinkBox Studios. It's easy to grasp and to understand, but a little on the repetitive and easy side, too. A no brainer if you have Game Pass.

You'll get lost knee-deep in quests, dungeon-trekking, and achievements-hunting unlocking Forms and buffing up the ones you have. And you'll have fun getting immersed in it all. All in all, score one more for Drinkbox Studio's portfolio from this 2022 esoteric and Job-filled take on the action RPG genre that's too hard to put down.

Nobody Saves the World starts strong with an imaginative world full of variety and lots of baddies to defeat. You'll explore various dungeons and defeat hordes of enemies in an attempt to save the world that classics the joy found in retro adventure games. However, Nobody Saves the World attempts to create that sense of exploration and dungeon crawling without much reward for doing it. Instead, much of the game focuses on grinding out tedious challenges to level up and collect lots of gems.
