A great adventure awaits you as a player and you will enjoy every minute of it. Are you just playing for the story? Then you will enjoy it intensely. Want more than just the story? Then you will spend at least forty hours exploring everything and you will absolutely not be disappointed. God of War Ragnarök is the best you must have played this fall. God of War Ragnarok is a perfect example of how a video game sequel should be done. Featuring a narrative that faithfully continues the story from 2018’s reboot, Ragnarok has many surprises hidden away in its stunning realms. Each realm looks breath-taking and takes full advantage of the PS5’s hardware. The gameplay is exactly what you would expect, with various touch ups and upgrades to make this feel like a true next gen experience. If you own a PS5, this belongs on your shelf!
I could spend hours upon hours talking about God of War Ragnarök, but at the end of the day, the only thing that should matter to you is if it's any good -- and it is. It's better than good; it’s a downright masterpiece. I know that word get's thrown around everywhere, and a lot, but I genuinely mean it. The story is beyond anything I would have imagined, and by the time I finished watching every line of credit roll, I couldn't help but give everyone a standing ovation. Like the first game, God of War Ragnarök will forever be etched in my memory as a timeless experience. A remarkable, unforgettable journey that I’ll keep talking about for the years to come and probably for the rest of my life. I could not be more confident in saying this, but I’ve found my Game of the Year for 2022.

They've brought together everything they do best: excellent character design, gorgeous rendering of locations and retelling of mythology, creative arena battles spiced with various skills, and switching between characters, all in a cinematic style telling a family story you wouldn't expect from the series. It's a combination of talents that few people can pull off in the gaming world. In its stylization and technological execution, this title is the pinnacle of the gaming industry.

God of War Ragnarök manages to be exquisite in everything it set out to do. Santa Monica Studio gives a real lesson in how a sequel should be made, exceeding all expectations in terms of graphics, performance, gameplay and storytelling in the best action adventure game of recent times. If the God of War franchise ever had a heyday, it has been surpassed.

God of War Ragnarok is a prime example of how to continue a franchise and is yet again a contender for game of the year for me. Sony Santa Monica has done an outstanding job at delivering an incredible sequel with a great story, unforgettable characters, amazing visuals, and combat that I couldn’t get enough of.
God of War Ragnarök is essentially a masterpiece, and it’s no wonder this has taken the gaming world by storm. You will be left scratching your head as to how they’ve managed to take a great predecessor, drastically improve it and forming into a flawless sequel. Having to wait a long four years was dragging, but with the game’s outstanding execution and delivery, patience was indeed a virtue.
