This forgettable genre-blender chases several trends but adds nothing of note to any of them.

After a year in early access, Arcadegeddon has evolved and expanded to become a good multiplayer shooter but failing to make a qualitative leap.

Bright and colourful, charming and replayable, Arcadegeddon offers a cathartic thrill while promising to scratch that ever-present loot itch.

Arcadegeddin is a fun and engaging roguelite/shooter. Be aware that there are still a bunch of minor bugs and glitches despite a long Early Access period, but hopefully the devs will fix them soon.

Arcadegeddon is Illfonic's most well-rounded multiplayer title yet, with a fun, engaging core and fast-paced gameplay keeping you going. Its rogue-lite elements don't get in the way, and it's a great game to let loose in with a friend or two. We can take or leave some of the surrounding fluff, like the largely forgettable characters and cosmetics, and there are definitely one or two rough edges. Even so, it's worth jacking into this solid third-person shooter for some scrappy fun.

I had an incredible time with the game, and though I have put in a decent amount of hours. Even after getting my boss cleared, I am still going back and playing it again and again to try to get more of the collectables for killing them. I really hope that the launch goes well and that the servers hold up with the release of the game because frankly it's one of the most enjoyable experiences I have had in a long time. I hope we get more bosses released and new areas released over time, if this game gets some decent support I could see it growing. Right now some folk may be frustrated with only 4 bosses, and though the biomes are nice they do seem a little limited but for launch it is looking really impressive and I can't wait to see where it goes.

Arcadegeddon does not aspire to the replayability of The Binding of Isaac and does not show off the production values of Returnal, but in its small way it succeeds very well in its intent: to create a roguelite characterized by an important arcade component, a fun cooperative mode and a structure different from all its most illustrious colleagues.

Arcadegeddon is a cooperative roguelite, which unfortunately, does not take full advantage of its potential, although it is fun to play with friends.

Arcadegeddon has solid gun play mechanics and a setting that most will appreciate but its generic structure and lack of enemy variety hold it back from truly shining.

‎Arcadegeddon is a rogue-lite that invites us to go through a solo or cooperative challenge, getting closer to an audience that is looking for a more accessible and simple rogue-like losing that yes, something of that typical essence of the genre.‎

Rescue of arcade games in wild co-op offers great fun in the first few hours. Unfortunately, it will not retain players for very long. Mainly because of the lack of content and the emerging stereotype.

Arcadegeddon is a good game that knows what it wants to do and manages to deliver it with relative success. Despite a few technical issues and limited content at launch, it's easy to spend hours having fun with friends. Unfortunately, the solo experience leaves a lot to be desired.

Arcadegeddon's unique glitched-out virtual world and slick movement controls make it stand out in a familiar genre and it's a ton of fun.

When Arcadegeddon does what it’s supposed to do, it’s a rollicking good time. Experimenting with the zany weapon types, getting my butt kicked in the Battle Modes, and interacting with the vibrant neon world is so inviting. However, all those bright and sparkling qualities didn’t matter when Arcadegeddon’s glitches became too obtrusive to ignore. It’s a shame, as the game has a lot of potential to be a fan favourite for those who love to squad up with their mates and have a laugh whilst being challenged. As it is though, I would wait a bit longer to sink my teeth into this co-op experience.

Arcadegeddon may not be a perfect game with the latest bells and whistles we in the current expensive video games but it perfectly delivers on its own premise to make it a very unique and fun experience.

Arcadegeddon was a really fun and enjoyable experience, solo or with friends, or even matching up with random other players and making new friends. A nice variety of weapons and biomes, with a great and upbeat soundtrack, really makes the game feel alive. With a few occasional crashes, I still had a blast playing the game and will definitely be playing more. I strongly recommend this game for a great co-op experience with friends.

Undeniably, Arcadegeddon is a fun experience, especially with friends. The music is phenomenal, and the game offers a good challenge…But the enemies do become stale the more you play, and there are only so many objectives to go around…Nevertheless, for the price, Arcadegeddon has so much to offer.

Arcadegeddon might just secretly become my go-to co-op shooter for some time, and I sincerely hope that the muted Early Access launch last year won't end up hurting the game's long-term plans. Because even with its lack of originality and limited variety, Arcadegeddon offers a surprisingly satisfying and addictive gameplay loop, one that deserves to be built upon for months or years.
