Hot Wheels Unleashed 2: Turbocharged has improved and expanded every aspect of the original game, and smoothed out some of the difficulty spikes that entranced/enraged me the first time around. Though the new story is mostly kid stuff, the actual racing is still challenging and wildly exciting. Crushingly good graphics, fun mechanics, and the obsessive collection of amazing toys once again combine to create a fantastic must-play racer.
All in all, Hot Wheels Unleashed 2: Turbocharged isn’t all that different from its predecessor, but it is bigger and better in just about every way. A brand new range of environments and additional vehicle types help to keep things feeling relatively fresh. And new event types are also very much welcome. It’s the new moves at your disposal that really elevate the experience, though. Being able to jump has allowed Milestone to get even more creative when it comes to track design, and it also adds yet more depth – you have to think more about how to use your boost. This is a very worthy sequel, then. It’s just a shame you can’t carry over your vehicles from the first game.
Hot Wheels Unleashed 2: Turbocharged improves on everything that was already great about its predecessor, increasing game modes and mechanics to offer more diversity and quality of life to a simple but very fun game based on the charismatic toy cars.

If the original Hot Wheels Unleashed was already magnificent, imagine what to expect from a sequel with more content and slightly better presentation? The changes in Hot Wheels Unleashed 2: Turbocharged aren’t particularly immense, but it checks all of the necessary boxes: it has slightly better visuals, it features some brand new gameplay mechanics, its track editor is bigger and more varied, and it features even more tracks, cars and modes.
Hot Wheels Unleashed 2: Turbocharged crosses the finish line with ease and style, providing an immensely enjoyable and high-quality experience that settles for nothing less than constantly firing on all cylinders.
“Hot Wheels Unleashed 2: Turbocharged” is exactly what I expect from a sequel: better mechanics, more variety and depth. Milestone delivers that packaged with one of the best arcade racers of 2023. Definitely a must have whether you like Hot Wheels or not.

An improvement on the formula, but overall more of the same game as its predecessor; however, still a ton of fun,
Hot Wheels Turbocharged: Unleashed 2 leans well on tweaks and not transformations. It is a great game that has recharged its predecessor and taken it to a new level. Graphics are visually stunning and gameplay is satisfying. The pocket-sized miniature mayhem title does well to burn rubber on the tracks and race its way into one of the most fun toy-racing games in the industry.
Hot Wheels Unleashed 2 is the definition of a perfect sequel. It keeps what made the first game work and improves what didn’t. I loved this iteration much more than the original and can see myself playing this for a long time. I wish the cars were more available and not packaged as DLC, but I get why they are doing that. I wish I got some carry over from the first game, but on its own Unleashed 2 is a great time that I cannot recommend enough.
Hot Wheels Unleashed 2: Turbocharged is a worthy successor with plenty of new cars and customization options, fun new game modes, and even a decent single-player campaign. It improves on many of its predecessor's faults, albeit still having a few of its own.
Silky smooth arcade racing at its very best, Hot Wheels Unleashed 2 - Turbocharged may not stray too far from the previous title, but still packs in enough features to keep you whizzing around those little plastic tracks for hours and hours.
Playing with physical Hot Wheels was always a blast as a kid and now playing Hot Wheels Unleashed 2: Turbocharged really recaptures a lot of that same magic. Much of what is found in this sequel is built upon the ground that was laid by the first game, but now it is bigger and better. The Creature Rampage mode is the one really disappointing aspect of the game, as the almost non-existent story could have been handled much better and the boss battles are the very definition of lackluster. Thankfully, this is very much offset by the increase in the number of different and unique vehicles, the fun new track locations, and the overall enjoyability of the racing that makes Hot Wheels Unleashed 2: Turbocharged such a pleasure to play.
Hot Wheels Unleashed 2: Turbocharged firmly reinforces everything good that the first game had already brought, with some cool improvements, but without drastic changes. Toy car fanatics may even find strange the lack of one or another model at first, but this does not take away the shine of all the initial content, not to mention that many of these absences will probably be covered by future expansions.

Hot Wheels Unleashed 2 “turbocharges” the arcade racing genre and adds to the core of the original game without changing the actual formula of an arcade racer. Players interested in arcade racers who can overlook the microtransaction aspect of the game can get the game at launch. Others can wait for a sale to decide for themselves how good the game really is.
Hot Wheels Unleashed is a game that has great potential, and although it has some issues in its current execution, especially regarding rewards, it remains a highly addictive title that will appeal to both lifelong forty-something fans and their children.

I have no doubt, Hot Wheels Unleashed 2: Turbocharged is one of the funniest, most complete, and most visually beautiful arcade driving titles on the market. It is a perfect combination between being a powerful merchandising element that can well go in the Santa Claus card of the little ones in the house and at the same time, being a real challenge for any demanding player. The possibilities of customization, track editing, a full campaign and the 130 Hot Wheels make it an undisputed product. You can even play Split Screen co-op!
