Indiana Jones and the Great Circle Reviews
Overall, Indiana Jones and The Great Circle is exactly what a video game inspired by a movie franchise should be. It does everything the source material does right while being sure not to rehash the same concepts and also properly accounting for significant differences between mediums. While combat and puzzles could undoubtedly be better, I'd recommend this title to anyone craving a fun adventure, regardless of whether you've seen the movies or not.
For a good chunk of Indiana Jones and the Great Circle, I would have considered it on par with the Uncharted games. However, as I enjoyed the little nods to the movies, the interesting characters and some amazing set pieces, The Great Circle stepped out of the shadow of Uncharted, donned its hat and said “You ain’t seen nothing yet”. Even with the few issues I had with combat, I wholeheartedly enjoyed the game and can’t wait to go back to continue exploring the other areas to see what I missed. I believe this game can stand next to the original trilogy with its head, and its whip, held high.
Indiana Jones and the Great Circle is undoubtedly one of the best video games of the year. It is a fun title, which combines adventure and action in a superb way. Its story, with a duration of about 15 hours (many more if we want 100%), doesn't revolutionise anything, nor does it pretend to, but it seems to be perfectly that of a new film and I'm sure fans will love it.

If you can get through the more monotonous parts of The Great Circle's gameplay, there's a fun story to experience with fantastic character writing, voice acting and music. This is one of those instances where you prefer watching the cutscenes to playing the actual game because MachineGames did everything just right.
The Great Circle proves that Indiana Jones’s legacy is in excellent hands. It’s not just a game—it’s a love letter to one of cinema’s greatest adventurers and a testament to the enduring appeal of thrilling, globe-trotting escapades.
All of this amounts to the exact type of praise we hoped we’d be left with; this is Xbox’s definitive game this year, and a perfect love letter to the original films. It captures what made them great in the witty tone, sense of adventure, and captivating mystery and expands it into a full on 30 hour videogame packed with fun and meaningful things to do in addition to the story. Some smarter enemies and a bit more of an expansion to the freedom to solve certain areas our own way would have been welcome, but other than a few minor quibbles Indiana Jones and The Great Circle is a brilliant adventure from start to finish.
Indiana Jones and the Great Circle perfectly captures the spirit of the film saga, with an adventure that manages to put us in the skin of the most famous archaeologist in a unique way. a marvel, which manages to capture the feeling of the movies in an excellent way. The work of MachineGames makes us feel that we are really in the skin of Indiana Jones, throwing punches and hitting Nazis with anything we have at hand. A game with a level of detail of scandal that manages to position itself as one of the best adventures in the catalog of the excellent archaeologist.

Indiana Jones and the Great Circle feels like a fresh breath of life for the Adventure genre—a genre that once had its glory days but has been dormant for a while. Every part of this game is made with great care and attention to detail, proving that when developers put their passion first, any genre in gaming can make a comeback.

Indiana Jones and the Great Circle feels like a lost volume of the iconic archaeologist's adventures, rescuing all the cogs defining a Jones adventure and reconciling them expertly to build a legitimate sequel to his best films. In addition to the notable reverence for the source material evident in the script and technical components, MachineGames delivers many fascinating open areas, exciting to discover both for their ingenious configuration and distribution of secrets and the extremely rich historical subtext ubiquitous to all our discoveries. The mission of adapting Indiana Jones for video games was not easy, but MachineGames was up to the task.

Indiana Jones and The Great Circle is no fool’s gold, and the only pitfalls you’ll need to watch out for are those the game has laid deliberately. Developer MachineGames has delivered not just a love letter to the original movies, but a rip-roaring serial adventure that can stand proudly beside its elders in the archives.
Now that we are finally seeing an Indiana Game that, shall we say rocked the boat, I would hope that we might see some of these titles resurface and maybe give some insight into wonderous stories which have yet to be told.
Indiana Jones and the Great Circle is a great game that is held back by some technical difficulties. Other than that, it is a rollercoaster ride that you cannot get enough of.

The Great Circle isn't without faults, but MachineGames' accomplishments are so staggering that it doesn't matter. It captures the heart and imagination the same way that Spielberg and Mangold did with their stories of the beloved archeologist. Welcome back, Indy.
