Eriksholm: The Stolen Dream Reviews
In the end, Eriksholm: The Stolen Dream is a good game despite some design choices that can lead to moments of frustration. The viewpoint feels fresh since so few games use it, but the game's various indicators even things out when you compare it to other stealth titles. The strict failure conditions and seemingly rigid process for stealth puzzle-solving can be an annoyance, but it is helped by the game's fast load times and generous checkpoints. The use of team play keeps things interesting. For genre fans, Eriksholm is a good game to check out.
Eriksholm: The Stolen Dream presents us with a complex and grand puzzle that will make us think for a while as we discover what initially seems like a simple story that becomes increasingly tangled as we progress. The approximately 12-hour duration has very good pacing that ensures we never get bored, and it implements various mechanics typical of a stealth game that are divided among different characters who must spread out through different routes to position themselves perfectly to advance toward the final objective.

Eriksholm: The Stolen Dream succeeds in crafting a stealth adventure that’s as tactical as it is emotional. With its Nordic noir charm, layered worldbuilding, and cerebral gameplay, it stands out from the crowd. Though the lack of accessibility features and frustrating camera limitations might deter some, players willing to adapt will discover a haunting and memorable experience. Smart mechanics, high replay value, and compelling storytelling make this a worthwhile journey, especially for fans of methodical, thought-driven gameplay.
Eriksholm is a quiet, deliberate journey. One that grips not through spectacle, but through emotional weight and precision. Its dedication to methodical stealth, evocative storytelling, and meticulous visual design creates an experience that feels both intimate in scale and grand in intent. Yet, its unforgiving structure and limited room for experimentation may leave some players behind. What it offers is polished and poignant, but not universally inviting.
Eriksholm: The Stolen Dream is a fantastic stealth/puzzle title, offering up compelling gameplay alongside a captivating story and excellent aesthetic production. A little more freeform use of the abilities, or lessening of the tutorial-like explainers, would be nice, but as it is, Eriksholm is still a title well worth your time.
Eriksholm: the Stolen Dream is an absolute joy to play, not only delivering on the gameplay department, but also on story and ambiance. Don’t let it sneak by!
Eriksholm is a bold and truly well-crafted title that offers compelling puzzles and a storyline supported by excellent characters.

Eriksholm: The Stolen Dream is a visually mesmerizing, narratively restrained stealth-puzzler that embraces old-school challenge with a modern cinematic polish. Its unforgiving nature won't be for everyone, but for those who appreciate tension, immersion, and methodical gameplay, this game offers a deeply rewarding experience.
Eriksholm: The Stolen Dream is a rather brief excursion, lasting less than ten hours in total. Nevertheless, its intricate narrative, sophisticated visual style, and suspenseful moments make it perfect for a concentrated weekend playthrough. The $40 price tag might disappoint some gamers, as most are unlikely to return to it more than once because of its limited replayability, linear advancement, and lack of different answers. However, this game provides a very satisfying experience for anyone who wants a high level of immersion, suspense, and strategy.
Eriksholm: The Stolen Dream is a little gem of indie games. It has amazing visuals, cleverly designed levels with challenging gameplay, and the real star of the game is its main character, Hanna.
Eriksholm: The Stolen Dream is an example of how a product created by a team limited only in terms of numbers and budget, but not in creativity and attention to detail, can emerge and stand out as one of the best releases of 2025. River End's stealth game takes us to a world that is both distant and close at the same time, and Hanna's adventure and search for her brother drew us in thanks to the power of its more than solid gameplay.

An isometric stealth narrative in a league of its own, Eriksholm: The Stolen Dream is a sensational example of what ambitious, cinematic aspirations and expertly plotted gameplay can accomplish together.
An elegant narrative stealth adventure takes you to a fascinating world, but doesn't revolutionize the genre and railroads player tightly.

Eriksholm: The Stolen Dream is a wonderful adventure in a gorgeous world, and deserves to put River End Games well and truly on the map.
Eriksholm: The Stolen Dream features plenty of memorable characters you’d want to follow to the end, and its gorgeous, lived-in world is a standout. Unfortunately, the stealth mechanics never impress and feel too basic. It’s clear the game is more invested in its narrative than in giving players the freedom to outsmart enemies on their terms, making for a memorable story-driven experience but a mechanically shallow one.
Eriksholm is a tough game to fully review, as giving away the gameplay mechanics and plot elements that made me enjoy it should be experienced without spoilers. If you have the time, in this never-ending deluge of excellent games, consider adding this one to the backlog. It’s fun and not frustrating stealth and shockingly high production values make this one of my favorite surprises of the year.
If you're a fan of stealth games with a classic structure, narrative focus, and well-structured mechanics, Eriksholm: The Stolen Dream is definitely worth your attention.
