The game is an interesting option for Nintendo Switch 2, with new features that improve the original version. There aren't many, but the minigames that use the microphone, camera, mouse, and HD Rumble of the new Joy-Con 2 show what the console can do and offer fun moments with friends or alone.

With an expanded selection of minigames, new catchy modes and implementation of Switch 2 hardware features, this is the definitive edition of Super Party Mario Jamboree. It brings not only better resolutions or framerate, but nice content additions for long party sessions.

One of the better installments, although as often as is the case, not the most polished or fair, and Jamboree TV does not really impress.

Jamboree TV is a very good addition to Super Mario Party Jamboree, but that doesn't justify a port with no improvements to 70% of its content. Judging it as a new game, it needs more new content and for that content to be more accessible to everyone.

I love that Nintendo is upgrading a bunch of their Switch games for their new console and if Super Mario Party Jamboree - Nintendo Switch 2 Edition + Jamboree TV is any indication, we're in for some real delightful treats down the road. 📺

Although the new modes are a bit weak, there's no denying that Super Mario Party Jamboree + Jamboree TV is a sensational multiplayer game.

As an update package, the Switch 2 Edition isn't all that special. It doesn't technically improve anything other than the Jamboree TV portion, and the game modes only offer short-term fun before they start repeating themselves. The best part of Mario Party, in my opinion, is the minigames, both in the entire package and in this update. But would I pay 20 euros for them? Maybe not.

It’s hard to say, though, that the Frenzy and Tag Team modes totally justify the cost of buying the Switch 2 edition of Super Mario Party Jamboree. It’s still a great game – probably the best Mario Party game ever – and you’ll have a blast with the core game whether you’re playing it on Switch 1 or Switch 2, but the $20 upgrade pack that is Jamboree TV is nowhere near as essential.

Super Mario Party Jamboree – Nintendo Switch 2 Edition + Jamboree TV maintains the spirit of the series and tries to bring some new features in line with the new hardware. The base game remains a benchmark for local multiplayer: solid, accessible and rich in content. Jamboree TV adds modernity and immediacy, making everything more varied, but suffers from its isolation from the main core and some poorly defined design choices.

When I consider the cost of the extra modes and minigames, especially as three quarters of the game doesn’t require the camera, it feels like a bargain if you already own the base game. Even if you don’t, it still seems like decent value at $100, as it’s one and a half games. It’s when adding in the cost of the camera that it feels a little bit too expensive. I’m not sure why Nintendo didn’t bundle Bowser TV with the camera as its own thing. The rest could have been added onto the base game and would have been considered DLC instead of an “upgrade”.

Super Mario Party Jamboree for Nintendo Switch 2 expands the series’ classic formula with a wide selection of mini-games, new boards, and social features. The introduction of the Jamboree TV mode adds unprecedented interactivity, using the camera, microphone, and Joy-Con controller as a mouse to create more dynamic matches, delivering a complete experience for players.

Jamboree TV adds variety to an already feature-rich title, but it does so in a way that's not entirely satisfying. It doesn’t improve the original experience, which remains limited to backward compatibility, and it introduces an exclusive mode that feels completely disconnected and is limited to just 20 mini-games. Not bad, but we were hoping for a bit more.

Super Mario Party Jamboree: Nintendo Switch 2 Edition + Jamboree TV combines one of the best Mario Party games ever with a mediocre collection of updates that feel like gimmicks for the most part. The puzzling decision to split updates across the Switch and Switch 2 content only adds to the overall feeling that this is a channel I can't recommend tuning into unless you're the biggest of Mario Party fans.

Super Mario Party Jamboree TV offers no revolutions but delivers a solid improvement over the base game, with its game show vibe, fun new minigames, and Coaster mode sure to bring smiles—though the reliance on a camera and the lack of updates to the core game may leave some players wanting more.

We loved Super Mario Party Jamboree when it was released on Nintendo Switch, and this relaunch for Switch 2, complete with new content, makes it even better and more fun. It's a truly enormous game, offering an unmissable experience for anyone looking to organise a few evenings with friends.

Super Mario Party Jamboree is a game with plenty of modes and content, very competent, and paying extra to have access to an expansion that seems rushed just to justify a few features of the new console doesn't seem like a good deal. I found no bugs, the online works well enough and the new minigames may be fun for a week, but, after that, what is left? The excellent original game that already existed.

Jamboree TV is a solid upgrade pack and makes great use of the Switch 2’s camera, microphone, and mouse controls to provide new and creative minigames that are fun, hilarious, intense, and addictive to play. Seeing you and your friends appear in and be part of the game is incredibly entertaining and will always be a good time.

Super Mario Party Jamboree – Nintendo Switch 2 Edition + Jamboree TV is a hilarious proposition and a missed opportunity. The new features are refreshing, the mini-games shine with the Switch 2 features, and some modes like Frenzy Fair are awesome, but it's hard to understand why Nintendo has chosen to split the experience in two instead of unifying it.

Super Mario Party Jamboree – Nintendo Switch 2 Edition + Jamboree TV adds fun extras to an already packed party game. Carnival Coaster stands out as a fast, replayable mode, and the new mouse-based minigames bring something different. While Bowser Live doesn’t last long and there are no new boards, the added rule sets and hardware support give it replay value. If you skipped the original, this version is the better way to jump in.

uper Mario Party Jamboree – Nintendo Switch 2 Edition + Jamboree TV is a welcome addition to the Switch 2’s library, but one that relies too much on the original package. While Jamboree TV provides some fun moments, especially with the mouse mini-games, Super Mario Party Jamboree ultimately carries it on its back in this new package.
