Chips 'n Clawz vs. The Brainioids has big ideas for the strategy genre, but it doesn't quite pull it off. I still think it's worth playing if you're interested in an easily digestible, save-the-world-from-aliens strategy romp.

Chip 'n Clawz vs. The Brainioids is a fine game overall. Despite some control issues with the strategy portions, the mixture of third-person action with RTS elements works thanks to the approach of simplicity over complexity. The campaign lasts for a decent amount of time, with collectibles and the quest for a five-star rating giving you a reason to replay the stages. Versus mode works fine, while the addition of split-screen play gives the game some legs if you're having a tough time finding anyone to play with online. Chip 'n Clawz has a few quirks, but it is a fun experience for those looking for a title that's a little more involved than running and bashing in small arenas.

Chip N Clawz vs The Brainioids is like pineapple on pizza. Two things that shouldn’t go together, but pair surprisingly well once you give it a chance. Gameplay is a harmonious blend of RTS and Third Person Action. It gets bundled with an aesthetic that appears to be heavily inspired by Ratchet and Clank and a tone that brings some serious 90’s Saturday morning cartoon energy. Just like Pineapple Pizza, it’s not perfect, and it’s not for everyone, but it’s a nice change of pace.
Chip 'n Clawz vs. The Brainoids is an enjoyable RTS that blends with different genres to make an enjoyable game filled with a colourful world.
