LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight is both a very good LEGO Batman game and a very good overall Batman game. The focus on a small set of characters makes everyone feel like they're more than just a skin swap. The use of an open world is well done, since it actually feels like a living place. The combat is more fluid but feels natural, while the kid-friendly humor is retained to keep the game feeling light-hearted, even during the more serious scenes. This is a game meant for every kind of Batman fan, and it is a title well worth playing.
Despite not offering any real challenge, even on the highest difficulty, it's a rich and enjoyable experience that successfully satisfies a wide range of players simultaneously. Consider it a brilliantly interactive Batman experience.

Despite its cute art style, LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight is an entertaining action-adventure game that will keep players entertained for hours, even with its simpler combat system, occasionally clunky controls, and a somewhat annoying number of bugs. Thanks to its amazingly crafted levels, rich open world, and great story, the game can proudly stand alongside the successful Batman: Arkham series. And it can certainly be considered one of the best LEGO games.

Lego Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight takes two opposite ends of the spectrum, Lego comedy and accessible gameplay with Batman’s darker tone and stealth-oriented sections, and meshes them together to great effect with only a few outliers. Visually stunning, inventive mission structure and an impressive open-world Gotham full of hilarious comedic writing. Some aspects that are made more accessible for a younger audience, such as combat, don’t hit as well, but if you adjust to this lighter, comedy-first Batman, then there’s something for both newcomers and veterans to enjoy.
It’s time, then, to draw our conclusions from this review of LEGO Batman: Legacy of The Dark Knight, stating that this is a game we highly recommend. It doesn’t break any new ground in terms of gameplay, but everything it does, it does very well. As much fun as all LEGO games are, this is the closest we’ve come in years to a new game in the Arkham series. Recommended for all LEGO fans, Batman fans, or anyone who loves open-world action-adventure games.
