Star Wars Zero Company Reviews
Star Wars Zero Company is a worthy tactics experience, with a fun and exciting Star Wars theme. The exact time and place of the setting creates a unique feeling story, while also letting all of the staples of the universe be present in gameplay and presentation. The tactics offer a ton of depth and creativity, allowing you to put together some all-star squads. The main story doesn’t have the juice the way the setting and side stories do, and the technical faults are numerous, but that doesn’t stop this from being a fantastic tactics and Star Wars experience.
Star Wars Zero Company is a triumph. It may lack the depth and replayability of XCOM, but it makes excellent use of the Star Wars universe while serving as a compelling entry point into the world of tactical games. It proves that Star Wars lightsabers and blasters can be just as thrilling on a turn-based battlefield.
When Star Wars Zero Company is about the titular group, it’s an excellent example of quality tactical gameplay. Thankfully, a vast majority of the game is just that.
Star Wars Zero Company proves XCOM veterans and Respawn's cinematic storytelling were always meant to collide — a sharp, character-driven tactics game that stands among the best Star Wars titles in years.

Star Wars Zero Company is a deep and engaging turn-based tactics title that respects the lore, telling a great story that introduces interesting characters throughout.
When I first approached Star Wars Zero Company, I wasn’t sure how I would like the genre it’s in. But the pairing of both the IP and genre goes together with ease. Bit Reactor knows how to tell a good story and make fantastic gameplay all through the lens of a turn-based strategy.
Despite technical flaws and some early-stage rough edges that urgently need addressing via future patches, Star Wars: Zero Company remains an excellent game. Bit Reactor and Respawn have successfully taken a complex, established formula—like that of XCOM and similar titles—and masterfully grafted it onto the Star Wars universe without ever compromising its essence or reducing it to a mere superficial reskin. With a deep, rewarding, and incredibly flexible combat system, a compelling narrative, and massive replayability, this stands as one of the best turn-based tactical titles of recent years—an unmissable experience for any fan of the genre or the galactic saga.

Star Wars Zero Company offers an engaging strategic experience, whether through battlefield tactics or extensive management outside of it. It’s just a shame that every positive aspect seems to come with a small drawback.

STAR WARS Zero Company is a game that really surprised me. Even if you have no interest in STAR WARS, this is a turn-based action game that appeals to everyone. Whether or not the setting appeals to you doesn't really matter. The gameplay is satisfying yet accessible, although the options regarding upgrades and team composition might be a bit over-the-top and could be overwhelming at first. With many dozens of hours of gameplay, the game also keeps you occupied for a very long time, and the developer deserves praise for that, as they could have simply made a game that lasted just 8 hours. A great deal of effort and time has truly been put into it, and it shows. Fans of the STAR WARS franchise, in particular, will appreciate the many details and undoubtedly have even more fun assembling their crew, weapons, and alliances. So, if you love this genre, this is a must-play that you can't get your hands on soon enough, even in these busy times ahead.

STAR WARS Zero Company illustrates there’s still much of the galaxy far, far away to be mined for untapped potential in games. Bit Reactor’s first major project not only fulfills the Star Wars strategy game that fans wanted, but sets the stage for something that could be much better in the future.
Star Wars Zero Company needs more than a few patches to iron out its abundance of visual hiccups, but the game underneath those technical shortcomings is fantastic.
Bit Reactor delivers fan service in its purest form. The studio’s debut is both ‘XCOM’ in ‘Star Wars’ cosplay and a labour of love. It feels as though a bunch of Star Wars nerds have built exactly the game they’ve always wanted to make. Probably because that’s exactly what happened. In terms of gameplay, you can tell the result benefits from the team’s decades of experience. I’ll generously put the technical shortcomings down to EA. It’s still annoying, though.

An excellent tactical game that follows in XCOM's footsteps, from which it clearly draws inspiration, and A New Hope for Star Wars games in general.
Star Wars: Zero Company surprised me in the best possible way. I went in expecting XCOM in the Star Wars universe and not much else, but what I got was a thrilling take on the turn based tactics genre, backed by a fantastic cast of characters and a story I genuinely wanted to see through to the end. It takes a familiar formula and does enough with it to establish an identity of its own.
While comparisons to XCOM are inevitable, STAR WARS Zero Company is far more than a mod or total conversion. It might be the closest we ever get to XCOM 3, but Bit Reactor’s debut holds its own. Minor performance hiccups and a light New Game+ mode do little to dull its shine. With deeply satisfying turn-based combat, meaningful base management, and a narrative worth paying attention to – it’s a great confluence of all these systems to be a worthwhile successor for the genre. STAR WARS Zero Company is full of depth and consequence that earns its place in the pantheon of the great turn-based tactics games.
Star Wars Zero Company is much more than just an XCOM set in the George Lucas galaxy. Bit Reactor takes a familiar formula and refines it to create a fast-paced, deep, and incredibly fun tactical game, complemented by a story and characters that fit perfectly into the Star Wars universe. That said, the PC optimization needs to be improved urgently.

That Zero Company is set in the barely touched era of the Clone Wars is a step towards the light side of the force. But even without this fan bonus, the tactical battles are engaging and deliver a decent challenge on the higher diffuculties.

Star Wars Zero Company breathes new life into the tactics shooter genre, and achieves the lofty goal of integrating a fantastic campaign into every tactical battle.
STAR WARS Zero Company blends XCOM's tactical bite with genuine Star Wars heart and soul. It delivers a deep, richly characterful campaign that's absolutely well worth its price.
Star Wars Zero Company is enthusiastically nailing its mission statement to be the game XCOM and Star Wars fans would dream of. As someone who was cautiously optimistic if Bit Reactor could make a game to my expectations of that mixture, I came away impressed they achieved just that. The overall package might be hyper-targeted with its strategy genre and deep Star Wars lore, but that is precisely what I had hoped to see, and Star Wars Zero Company is a top contender for my personal game of the year because of it.
