The foundation for something better is still here, but Slipgate Studios has reworked Rad into something that isn't worth spending your cash on.
The crucial factor to take into account here is the sense of humour. Do you like silly, immature humour that has no respect for the fourth wall? If you don't, the gameplay probably isn't strong enough to maintain your interest, particularly in a crowded genre. If you do however, the gameplay is strong enough to maintain your interest for the length of the game, slightly short though it may be.
Rad Rodgers is a game with its ups and downs. It is entertaining, even though it does not take too much time to beat.

Rad Rodgers is a familiar yet satisfying platformer that doesn't always hit all the high notes, but it does so often enough to feel like a hit for anyone looking for a reminder of the way things were when it comes to these kinds of games.
Fun & classic, Rad Rodgers strickes back with the same and interesting platforming videogame and several addings that make him a great product for almost all audiences in console. A good product, perfect for nostalgic-platforming addicts

Rad Rodgers is too self aware, and falls short on many levels.
Rad Rodgers struggles to find its groove through most of the game, but it does spark that nostalgia I grew up with. I wanted to love it more than I did, but never actually hated playing the game. There are bright spots when the design or poor writing isn't dragging it down.
Rad Rodgers has a nice graphics and animation, but suffers from too simple mechanics, strange game design choices at some points, messy camera and unremarkable bosses.

Rad Rodgers struggles to find its difficulty sweet spot. Spending far too much time being either too easy or frustratingly hard, the inconsistent pacing means that neither those looking for a fun romp nor a hard as nails platformer will leave satisfied. While the gameplay at its core is decent and the design of each stage provides an enjoyable variety of challenges, the crass outdated humour and the radically varying difficulty mean that Rad Rodgers falls way short of being an excellent adventure.
The restless Rad and foul-mouthed Dusty debut on PC with the first episode of a new series. Their adventure is a classic run'n'gun, like the ones we used to play in the '90s. It puts on the plate six levels and an awful boss-fight, mixing platforming and shooting in a very trivial way.

It's genuinely difficult to not be charmed by the foul-mouthed shenanigans of Rad Rodgers. The game somehow manages to morph extremely dated design ideals into a form that is palatable to the modern console crowd. If you can get past the constant barrage of unnecessary vulgarity, you will find the muted luster of something special hiding beneath. Here's to hoping that Slipgate Studios gets the opprotunity to make something a bit more substantial the next time around.
Rad Rodgers: World One could be a much better title, if the developer would not waste the potential. It's not bad, though.

Kirby is back in a new platforming adventure and this time he’s bringing some friends aUp in the air, where the eagles fly, there exist excellent 2D platformers that pay tribute to older games while still retaining their own identity. Rad Rodgers came so close to soaring alongside them, but its wings melted a bit, so it has to glide for a bit and look down at the scattered bodies of Kickstarter nostalgiabait…and their own wings. Their very crappy wingslong for the trip
Rad Rodgers is a competent 90's run-and-gun platformer revival, despite some frustrating gameplay elements.
Still, what Rad Rodgers is is a good (not great), $20 game that you’ll give a playthrough of and likely never touch again. Despite its repetitive level design, samey environments and repeated one-liners, it’s still worth the play. And actually, I’d love to see a sequel hit that maybe explores some of the ideas a bit more. For now, Rad’s adventure is worth taking, and you should give it a shot.
Rad Rodgers is a nostalgic and beautifully crafted action-platforming game. It is exactly what we need in a world filled with more and more copies of the same games. A game that is original yet rooted in the past and the classics. Rad Rodgers is a game that has something for every gamers to play, enjoy and have fun with it. A nice mixture of action and platforming challenges.

Rad Rodgers is a love letter to games from an older time, and manages to succeed in delivering a violent and satisfying 2D shooting experience. Unfortunately, unpolished platforming and a short length keep it from being a must play, especially considering the plethora of alternatives out there. The humour may not be for everybody, but for gamers looking for a blast from the past, Rad Rodgers is a rollicking and violent nostalgia trip to a simpler time.
Rad Rodgers is still a reasonably fun experience with decent platforming, highly detailed environments and a funky soundtrack. The game despite the obvious padding is a great length for both casual gameplay and for someone who wants to finish it in one sitting. The misfiring humour and weak standard of the environments however make for a poor narrative, and generally, an experience that isn't particularly memorable.
Despite my love of the 90s and all its radicalness, I won't be eagerly returning to this one, no matter how rad it may seem.
Rad Rodgers is a simple platform and action game that aims to please those who miss the 90s. It has simple mechanics and non-linear stages. The biggest problems is the layout of the stages, that can confuse the player at certain points. In addition, the enemies and weapons are repetitive.
