A wondrous shiny, if slightly flawed, treasure that's deserving of your time, Strange Brigade is enormously entertaining when played solo, even better when you bring a troupe of fellow adventurers along for the ride. Strange Brigade is indeed rather strange, but it's also ripping good fun, best played with a nice cup of tea. Preferably Earl Grey.

Strange Brigade has a nice mix of third-person shooting, puzzles, and humor that ends too soon and costs too much.

A number of small flaws keep Strange Brigade from greatness, but its style, humor, and core gameplay make for a satisfying romp solo or with friends.

In conclusion, Strange Brigade gets much more right than it does wrong, and it proves the power of co-op yet again. Played alone, this game isn't worth the time or effort due to the tedium. However, add in a friend or three, or at least some decent randos, and suddenly the game takes on a whole new feel and it instantly becomes a treat. It's certainly not the first game to prove this phenomenon, but nevertheless, if you have some buddies to play with, keep Strange Brigade on your radar.

Strange Brigade is a robust online cooperative experience to play with friends and strangers alike. The presentation is hands-down one of the best experiences I've seen this year, from the visuals, level design to the game's music and sound effects. Also, I tip my hat off to the talented Glen McCready who continually narrates throughout the adventure. It's a shame that the character doesn't have additional outfits or customization outside of weapon loadout at launch, but with free and paid downloadable content in the future, Rebellion may be supporting this fun third-person shooter for quite some time.

Kamp spills out of the screens. If you've watched Mummy with Brendan Fraser years ago, you'll like Strange Brigade. It's a shame that hardly anyone will buy this title, because it's hard to get rid of the impression that the Rebellion team has been one generation late.

Strange Brigade might not have a lot of long term value, but it's a fantastic game to play with others. The interesting locations and solid visuals with stand out, with the puzzles being just hard enough to be fun, without them being so hard players will be confused or feel left out. So, if you're looking for a fun game to play with your friends, look no further than Strange Brigade. However, if you want something to play for weeks or months, you might want to consider looking at something else.

Despite a largely forgettable story, Strange Brigade has a lot of charm because of its campy nature and likable, chatty characters. While best in groups, this will also suit patient types who've got a good shot and lots of time to kill.

Mixing the best parts of Left 4 Dead and adventure epics like Indiana Jones and Uncharted, Strange Brigade is better than it has any right to be. Enjoyable solo or with mates, the puzzles and the open level design gives the game replayability, but the pacing and the derivative art direction stop it from being immensely compelling.

Strange Brigade is a solid recommendation for anyone looking to dig into some old school third-person shooting wrapped in that Left 4 Dead campaign style with an added bit of 1930s distinct flavour.

Its fun, creative presentation feels so refreshing and a true escape into something wonderful for people of all ages. Strange Brigade had me yearning for a new Indiana Jones just because I crave that campy kind of adventure. If you're someone who wants something simple yet totally gripping or a fan of Call of Duty's massively popular zombies mode, Strange Brigade is for you. Should you happen to sleep on it, you're likely going to miss out on one of the most enjoyable co-op experiences of 2018.

Strange Brigade is Rebellion's attempt to develop something new, an action third-person shooter that makes of playability and fun its principal objectives. Through the game is a fun and light experience, it should be played not too much in a row, because of the confusion that sometimes affects the on-screen action. It's a game developed with professionality and a fine amount of inspiration, and it could be a good way to pass these last summer days or to begin with the TPS world.

Much in the same way we suspect the Strange Brigade must feel after a long and involved mission.

Strange Brigade is a delightful title that is sure to make waves and tickle pink everyone who picks it up.  It's lighthearted, carefree and is a great game to dive into for indiscriminate slaughter of ancient Egyptian zombies.  There isn't a lot for me to frown upon with this title and as someone with a picky attitude when it comes to games that speaks volumes.  I can 100% recommend a spot in your library for this title unless you don't like shooters or fun.

Strange Brigade is tip-top fun with lots of bang for your buck, to use a dirty Americanism. A single offline campaign playthrough with a decent amount of exploration can run around 11 hours, and that's before you bring in the Co-op, Horde Mode, Score Attack, and secret hunting. Crucially, it's all incredibly fun, with entertaining shooting, a good level of challenge, hilarious traps and a good-natured atmosphere.

With just a few small changes in design, Strange Brigade could have been a sleeper hit that people were talking about for years to come. Unfortunately, no matter how pretty the game looks, the flaws in gameplay keep it from being little more than passable and ultimately forgettable as the bigger games release across the holiday season.

Just like the first part of the trilogy, this doesn't change things up too much, rather it's just another level in a similar style to before with a few bells and whistles added. By this point, you'll already know if you do or don't like Strange Brigade. This isn't going to win over any new fans but If you don't need winning over, you most likely already have this or you probably want to go get it.
