Just Cause 4 is fun when you're unloading lead, dancing around lightning, and blowing things up but it lacks significantly elsewhere. Avalanche has released a very unpolished open world experience that feels outdated visually and mechanically. To add insult to injury, the story feels bland and continues to make Rico one of gaming's most uninteresting protagonists despite his wide array of skills and gadgets. Just Cause 4 isn't a really bad game, it just has a lot of shortcomings and issues that hold it back from being something more than average at best and really mediocre at its worst.

Avalanche Studios has brought novelties, such as the huge amount of easter eggs and weather conditions, making the game fun, but it's full of mobility issues, and textures that don't match. Not to mention the story and extremely repetitive missions, that make the game interesting just by having an extensive map and abundant jokes.

Just Cause 4 is a very funny game but with a shallow and very repetitive story. A game with lights and shadows that does not manage to be outstanding despite trying

Overall, Just Cause 4 is a worthy sequel, and improves many problems I had with 3. A shallow story and bland open world don’t hinder the excitement and insanity the tool set Rico is given to cause damage with.

Just Cause is always known for its action aspect. And the fact is not changed with Just Cause 4. But with almost last gen visual and countless of bugs and issues, it feels like a rushed game.

Overall, Just Cause 4 feels every bit the game that Just Cause 3 did, yet it pales in comparison due to its lacklustre presentation, stilted design and derivative story

Just Cause 4 doesn’t make a lot of changes to the core gameplay of the series, but then again it doesn’t have to. It does make some welcome tweaks and additions, most notably to the grappling hook. The fourth installment in the series may not be as visually appealing as other titles in 2018, but it’s just as explosive and entertaining as ever.

There are times when Just Cause 4 is amazing, but the final result is a game that loses parts of what made Just Cause great in the first place. The new mission structure repetitive and causes the series' staple destruction to take a backseat. The tether customization is top notch and the new weapons are a winner, but things like throwable C4 are gone. And the extreme weather, which is exciting when it appears, doesn't make its presence felt during most of the game. I had fun with Just Cause 4, but it's a game I want to love more than I actually do. Temper your expectations.

Just Cause 4 is an easy-to-play sandbox of chaos with a sprinkling of extreme weather. It holds strong due to an improved grapple and varied tools, and while this explosive sequel won't set the world on fire, you can blow up enough things to make it interesting.

Just Cause 4 amps up the chaos and fun to well past 11. Gamers have never before had the freedom to cause mayhem on this grand of a scale.

After the well received Just Cause 3, the sequel had some big shoes to fill. Unfortunately Just Cause 4 doesn't show us anything new and a lot of times feels more like a re-skinned version of its predecessor, more than a sequel on it's own.

Just Cause 4 is still a mental experience that’s as fun as it has ever been – it just doesn’t run like a slideshow this time. It’s the sort of game I believe everyone should own; you’ll always need that game you can put on to vent with unparalleled destruction and creativity. It’s brilliant and I adore this almost as much as I love Just Cause 2. Almost.

Just Cause 4 offers almost nothing new compared to the previous games in the series, but it still has the chaotic gameplay and exaggerated action of Just Cause which makes it fun to play.

Just Cause 4 is by far the best and most complete game in the series. Improved graphics, vast world and new gears, are all helping to deliver an amazing and enjoyable experience. On the other hand, Just Cause 4 suffers from numerous technical issues, Lack of creativity in level design, shallow story and incomplete gun-play. Still If you are fan of the series and pure action in video games, Just Cause 4 is one of those games that delivers a simple, enjoyable gameplay with many ways to create pure action and explode your mind!

It doesn’t matter how cool an individual set piece looks if all the smaller scenes leading up to it are marred by unresponsive vehicles, dumb AI, and shoddy physics.

Just Cause 4 is more or less of the same. It's still good to play Rico and use its usual stuff, but it lacks strong new features, and with its redundant secondary quests system, its dated visuals and all the bugs, it just feels like a average game.

Just Cause 4 shows that you don't need a story to provide an entertaining gameplay, but the lack of activities in a massive open world is also its biggest fault. Giving the players an open playground with tools of destruction is basically the selling point of this game.

Despite issues in several areas, Just Cause is ultimately about the scale of its action moments over which players have complete control, and the freeform sandbox in which players run amok, and to these ends Just Cause 4 is the best in the series.
