Wreckfest Reviews
Wreckfest is a distinctly average racing game, with some notable fun to be had in its demolition-focused game modes. You might get a few laughs out of the novelty vehicles, too.
If you're willing to turn off every assistance and don't mind the lack of racing tracks and poor online component, Wreckfest is a must.

Undoubtedly, Wreckfest itself is an absolutely fantastic racer and you'll have a blast on Series X regardless of whether you stick with the free 4K, 60FPS patch or go one step further with this paid next-gen upgrade. This is without doubt the definitive way to play the game on Xbox Series X, but thanks to that free patch a couple of months ago, there's really no need to pay the extra money unless you're a devoted Wreckfest nut.
Surely the game will have their admirers who would like to see such more serious races on the roads, but those who are hungry for undiluted adrenaline gamers will quickly get bored.

But, for now, Wreckfest just doesn't live up to the promise of its name. The destruction is technically impressive, but oddly distancing. It awes with flying debris, but rarely exhilarates.
Wreckfest is an excellent Destruction Derby-inspired title. Compete solo or with friends in this adrenaline-fuelled and hectic racing game.
Anyone who can relate to the thrill of witnessing and narrowly avoiding catastrophically beautiful pile ups between opponents in games like GRID, MotorStorm, Burnout, or even Destruction Derby back in the day is guaranteed to have a blast.
Wreckfest for Nintendo Switch is familiar content, lots of enjoyable combat on tracks or arenas, 30 frames per second and heavily cropped graphics. The creators have limited the setting to ensure racing on the small screen – if you count on the mobile version of the game and know the limitations of the platform, then you will be satisfied.

Wreckfest is at its best when you don't take it too seriously. It features a great handling model that's sufficiently deep and rewarding to master. The wild and dirty races tend to be quite enjoyable too. Of course, the chaos can sometimes become frustrating. There are few things worse than getting knocked off the track at the last possible moment. It's even more agonizing when it's not entirely your fault. Those who persevere, despite the occasional bout of unfairness, will get a lot of mileage out of this.
Wreckfest can have sustained periods of standard race after standard race, but it delivers its best parts when trying to keep that fresh.
Wreckfest, an intense vehicular combat game by Bugbear, has leapt into the next-gen with its PS5 upgrade. Newcomers will certainly enjoy the mayhem and chaos it brings to derby racing. However, those who are already familiar with the game might wish to read a review or two before deciding whether the upgrade is worth the price tag.
The driving arcade games lovers will find in Wreckfest a fine and very attractive title.

It looks great, plays great, and stands out in the crowded racing market.
Wreckfest just fully embraces what it is, and you have to respect it. Bugbear's brash, fender-bending racer has been unleashed on PlayStation 5 as part of May's PlayStation Plus lineup, and it's still very much the chaotic, crash-happy, Destruction Derby-esque experience people love. In the jump to new hardware, the game definitely benefits in a few areas, though some enhancements are better than others.
If you’re looking to bring destruction and pandemonium to motorsports, Wreckfest will suit your needs to a tee. The experience is let down by technical grievances far too often, but what’s left after the fact is more than worth your time.
Wreckfest for consoles is a fun arcade racing that lacks the technical polishing and diversity of the car selection. Smash opponents into the trash and preserve a car is not easy, but really fun. Detailed damage physics with entourage create an interesting atmosphere of racing for survival. Therefore, fans of the original FlatOut can safely buy it, but better after the patches that will fix bugs with endless loading. In this case, you can raise the final score by one point.

Wreckfest may feature some lackluster racing, but its dynamic vehicle deformation is so dazzling that it almost doesn't matter. Barreling across tracks that gradually fill with automotive debris, or jumping into a demo derby to wreak some havoc yourself, serve to fulfill a destruction-fueled niche that knows no equal on consoles.
Wreckfest is a fantastic game that does everything right with demolition derbies and special events, but most of the experience in the form of demolition races isn't as good besides long loading screens that kill the enthusiasm to even choose an event.

Wreckfest is a solid game that hits a lot of the right notes, with plenty of technical issues that hold it back from being a classic.
