Diablo 3: Eternal Collection on the Nintendo Switch is a great game for old and new fans alike. Having the full Diablo 3 experience on the go is so very enticing, and is now my new preferred way to play the game. It's not the best looking Switch game out there; but with gameplay as satisfying as Diablo 3's, visuals be damned.
As much as I love playing Diablo 3 on my PC, the Eternal Collection on Switch may very well be my new preferred way to play - nothing beats lounging in bed, romping through a rift with the light out while I should be sleeping - all thanks to Nintendo Switch and Blizzard Entertainment.
It's Diablo 3 on the go! The added local multiplayer functionality and the fact that it's a thoroughly competent port make this an easy recommendation for fans of the franchise who want a portable version, or for newcomers who want to jump in.
Diablo III on the Switch creates a whole new way to play the game that makes it work in tiny sessions all the way up to marathon runs. Great for newcomers and old salts, you will find yourself competing in the next season before you know it.

Diablo III: Eternal Collection for Nintendo Switch is a great version of the iconic role-playing game that feels particularly good in portable mode. You might not want to play more than 20 hours of Diablo III: Eternal Collection, but the time you do put in will be unbelievably entertaining. If you want more of this game, the Seasonal options are there for you, and if you have a few buddies who also pick it up, the more is definitely the merrier. And because I can't stop thinking it, even though Diablo started out as a computer game, it feels better as a console one.
In short, Diablo III: Eternal Collection is a lovely port of a classic RPG loot-a-thon that keeps its feet firmly in the past. The execution is wonderful, but its gameplay is not something that will appeal to everyone due to the high level of repetition. Its visuals are clear and functional if not especially interesting, but performance is top notch to make up for it. If you're looking for a loot-driven grind-a-thon with more explosions of viscera than you can comfortably discuss with your mother, this is the game for you.
Diablo III on the Switch is my new favorite way to play the game. If you ignore the lame campaign, this is a engaging and rewarding action RPG experience that you can play for minutes or hours. And you'll enjoy it alone or with friends.
Diablo III is a comprehensive package on the Switch, but just not always the best way to play it all.
After six years from its initial release, Diablo III still feels like a great RPG (specially local coop mode), with lots of content and a very enjoyable story.

It's been addictive for several years, but the option to play on the go makes this package a must-have any Switch owner, especially players looking for a game to lose themselves in for dozens or hundreds of hours.
Diablo III arrives on the Switch with a technically impeccable conversion, delivering the fun and the violence of the Blizzard masterpiece in the palm of your hand.

The PS4 version is still the best, but we're down to the nitty-gritty of which one looks better to reach that verdict and, honestly, to many players the difference will be an acceptable trade-off for the ability to play Diablo 3 on a handheld.
