Left Alive Reviews
Left Alive should have stayed on paper for more months. The chances of success were high, unfortunate game mechanics and controls are dragging the game deeply into the pit.

In this way, I would argue Left Alive is the purest survival game ever: if you can play to the end, you can survive anything.
Left Alive promises stealth gameplay much like Metal Gear Solid, but it fails to deliver because of broken AI, weak storyline, and poor graphics.
Despite your characters being 3 random people with totally different stories and experience in the field of combat, they all seem like hopeless lambs sent to the slaughter when faced with the opposing forces that could wipe them out in a few seconds.
Just make sure your legal distance with this game is preserved. Each one hour playing of Left Alive needs many hours of walking outside in fresh air just so you can deal with your bitterness and calm your nerves. There are only two reasons to play this game: First, you are a critic and you have to review the game; Second, you are a collector that wants to have the worst games of the world in his collection. Just pretend that this game was never published in 2019, forget everything and enjoy your life!

“Left Alive insists you play it smart and conservative, but the combat has the potential to get stale early on. Having to revisit past locations with different characters magnifies the lack of variety, both in combat and level design.”
Anyone who like unfairly hard games may enjoy this but everyone else should just skip this game. I waited to see if a patch would maybe make it better but that patch never came. I can’t say it isn’t worth the time or money because I’m sure someone will enjoy it, but there are so many better stealth and action games out there that I refuse to put a price point on any half baked recommendation I could give this. Just don’t pay full price because that is highway robbery.
This isn’t the mech game that most were really hoping for, nor is it really a political war game. It’s just kinda there, never reaching its full potential. Really dear reader, with so much having just released and releasing here soon, I would recommend most buyers give this one a pass. You won’t be missing much.
There are moments of really great gameplay and narrative that shine through, and I believe that a few sizable patches could make Left Alive a decent game.
After playing this game for nearly 2 dozen hours, I can rightfully say that it is not worth it. As much as I would like to see this through to the end, I just don’t have the patience to put up with it’s janky controls. I have died in the most absurd ways, with little to no fairness in any of them. Unless you are really interested in the story and how the side stories play out, I really can’t recommend this game. I may come to the game eventually, just to tie up loose ends. But the way it is right now. I’d rather put a hold on that for now.
Any good they might have had are quickly swallowed up by a plethora of issues. The desperate or the gullible may find a glimmer of fun hidden somewhere in the pit.
Left Alive falls short in many areas. What could of been an interesting title ends up being one you best avoid.
A confused, badly designed and derivative mess of a stealth game, which should be avoided at all costs.
Left Alive is blatant and very abortive stealth action. Let it die.

Although Left Alive has an interesting story and atmosphere, it is extremely frustrating with its blatant game design flaws.

If you were hoping you'd get a taste of what could have been, remember that gas station burrito thing? Don't bother – this will only give you stomach troubles.
I really hope Square Enix doesn’t just write Front Mission off after Left Alive. This was a poor attempt at reviving the franchise, and Front Mission deserves better.
Where did the producers and quality control department look? What do Square Enix investors spend their money on? Why and most importantly for whom? For fans of pain and suffering? You should run away from this game. It's a pure trash.

It's a stealth or action game and is rubbish at both. The AI will drive you up the wall and the three protagonists are forgettable. There is absolutely nothing, other than some beautiful artwork and a decent soundtrack, that leaves any hope alive of it being any good.
Throughout my time with the game, I thought about how money someone should spend to buy this game and I eventually decided on an amount: No more than three dollars.
