A new hope is here, as Star Wars video games finally get the long-awaited return to form they deserve. The creators clearly care about the source material, and have produced a story and a setting that will hopefully continue being explored. There are some teething issues here, but there is much more promise. Respawn has created the first step on what could be a very bright future.

I would recommend Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order to anyone who's even remotely familiar with the universe. There are plenty of Easter eggs and geek-out stuff for the fans (you can build a custom lightsaber!), and the gameplay is less about reinvention and more about refining pieces to fit the experience, which is what a lot of great art is built upon. If anything, this game made me feel like I did back in the 1990s, when I truly felt the Force in the game space for the first time. It's a special feeling, and I look forward to seeing where this path goes.

Lastly, I have to mention the name, Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order. To me, it sounds like Star Wars Jedi could be a new line of games, with Fallen Order being just the first one. We can only dream.

Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order is an excellent action-adventure game, perfectly blending elements from Metroid Prime, Dark Souls, Uncharted and Prince of Persia. The downsides are the uninteresting plot and the technical problems.

With an excellent droid companion and entertaining lightsaber combat, Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order could have been a truly forceful addition to the franchise. However, navigation problems and unnatural level design takes it back down a darker path.

A spectacular and engaging adventure which will be appealing to both Star Wars fans and those who don't really care about this universe and just want to buy something like Uncharted and God of War.

Star Wars has found redemption in Respawn Entertainment. Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order is without doubt, one of the best Star Wars titles in recent memory, and already has a place in the history of Star War's video games. Respawn Entertainment succeeded and was the chosen one who brought the balance to the Force.

Much like what Arkham Asylum did for Batman games, Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order sets the new standard for Star Wars titles. Not only is it a great Star Wars game, it is also the best game of the year.

In the end, Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order ultimately lacks a sense of identity and that's what holds it back from being one of the greats.

Developers from Respawn Entertainment resemble a dog and a cat - they borrowed individual ingredients from established game brands and baked them into a cake in the form of gameplay of their new title. Unlike the animal twin from Čapka's fairy tales, you won't have a stomach ache after consuming it, because the mix of fights, platforming and puzzles here works perfectly. After a weak introduction, the successful gameplay is joined by an equally successful story with characters whose fate you will care about, set in attractive settings. Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order doesn't need a lot of innovation to be a great action-adventure and one of the best Star Wars games in years.

Thanks to a mix-and-match of different genres Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order is the best Star Wars-game is years. Combat and traversal is challenging and diverse, puzzles will require your brain and Force powers are cleverly used in every part of the game. Besides all that it even provides a more than decent story for fans of the franchise.

With the skillful, dynamic gameplay and the lukewarm story in the Star Wars timeline taken into consideration, the question of how this game holds up becomes a two-part query: is it a good game, and is it a good Star Wars game? The answer to the first question is an easy one. Heavy on adventure and cinematic style, Fallen Order is absolutely a game worth anyone's time if you've got even an inkling of interest in Star Wars. You won't feel left behind, thanks to the new characters, if you're less familiar with Star Wars, and those who know the fandom inside and out will pick up on clever nods and filled-in blanks. You could remove the Star Wars wrappings and it'd still be a fantastic experience which could be construed as both a positive and a negative. So many Star Wars experiences are based off prior exposure now that it'd be nearly impossible for one person to have the same experience with this story as another, but even if you knock the story, everything else about the game is solid and worth your time.
