This game is a must-own for anyone that loves these types of games, and for the price it is impossible not to recommend. Just be prepared for the difficulty and remember playing on easy is perfectly fine, and much more enjoyable for that casual romp.
Crash is back (again) in this marvelous tribute to one of the PS1 era’s most memorable games and more. It goes beyond what could be expected from a remaster and fans are sure to be coming back for more content when it is released.

Crash Team Racing: Nitro-Fueled brings the original game to our age and it does a fine job at that, as the experience goes way beyond improved graphics and sound. The amount of game modes, characters and customization elements, as well as the online and offline multiplayer components and the solid gameplay make this a very healthy proposal for fans of the series and of kart-racing games.

Crash Team Racing: Nitro-Fueled is a visually phenomenal upgrade on a PlayStation karting classic, and one that faithfully recreates both its positives (its unique drift boosting system) and its potential irritants (30fps, tricky AI). It does bring a whole new set of issues – mainly lengthy loading times and the fact that playing offline stops you making any progress towards unlocking anything – but while these prevent the game from becoming an absolute must-have, they don't sour the experience enough to stop us wholeheartedly recommending it regardless.
Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled is a faithful remake of a classic karting game, with extra content from across the franchise to boot. Whether playing the respectfully challenging campaign mode to unlock all kinds of parts, stickers, and more, or skirmishing with strangers and friends both online and off, those who have fond memories of the original will get their money's worth out of the racer, without a doubt. The sliding mechanic still takes some getting used to after all these years, but it just wouldn't be CTR without it.
