With non-stop action and a near limitless amount of customization. Daemon X Machina is a great mech game that now looks better than ever before.

All in all, Daemon x Machina is about the best that one can hope for from an Armored Core fill-in. It isn't quite as good as the highs of the tragically sleeping franchise, but it's on par with the average. If you like mecha, customization, and blowing up stuff, and you have a tolerance for the learning curve of the controls, then Daemon x Machina will keep you happy. At the end of the day, you get to pilot a giant robot and slash up enemies with a giant lightsaber, and who doesn't love that?

There’s no denying that Marvelous can make a game, but to make a mech simulator of this calibre... That I didn't expect.

Daemon X Machina is definitely a fun, adrenaline filled experience, and an impressive one at that. I've never delved into this kind of shooter before, but I would say that I have received a fantastic introduction into the genre with an impressive choice of customisation, satisfying gameplay, and intriguing plot, not to mention fantastic multiplayer... it makes me rather excited for the planned update to add competitive multiplayer modes. Though there are some improvements which could better the replayability further, such as including a scoring system to the missions, I still had a lot of fun playing the game, and would recommend it to anyone who is looking for a decent mech shooter for the Nintendo Switch.

While being rough around the edges, I personally think that the core gameplay is extremely fun, and the game gives you good enough reason to see it through to the end.

Daemon X Machina is a real treat for mecha fans. Armored Core veterans will feel right at home while experiencing new gameplay mechanics. The story has its typical Japanese anime tropes but it's re-enforced with interesting characters and conflicts. Gameplay is top notch in the mecha genre.

Daemon X Machina doesn’t end up getting too creative with its mission structure, but it makes up for it with some incredible set pieces and systems. There’s so much here for fans of mech action games to customize and explore that kept me entertained for hours

Daemon X Machina’s biggest issue is trying to please very different crowds and playstyles. While its single player campaign can be a bit lackluster, the amazing coop and exploration missions more than make up for it.

Arcade-style giant fighting robot action overcomes repetitive missions and a sometimes-nightmarish HUD.

Daemon X Machina allows us to create our own giant robots, select between multiple weapons and engage in frantic combat with other pilots and enemy creatures... but the control scheme is complicated and missions feel too similar.

Despite being weighed down by a certain repetitiveness (accentuated by the need to repeat missions several times to scrape together parts, equipment, and money) and although it has some technical limitations, Daemon X Machina represents a respectable demonstration of the mech genre that is able to satisfy the hunger for fans

Honestly, there isn't a whole lot to say about Daemon X Machina. With an average story, enjoyment hinges on how you feel about piloting a mech. It does this fairly well, though it could be more intuitive, making the whole experience okay, rather than amazing. I could easily see an Armored Core fan loving it or even a Gundam fan, it just doesn't have the universal appeal other games manage to have.

Daemon X Machina is a fun and frenetic mecha game with a hell of a lot going on. It occasionally gets too busy for its own good, but competently out-Anthems Anthem in terms of gameplay.

Daemon X Machina might not be Nintendo’s most high-profile title of 2019, but I really enjoyed what it brought to the table.

There may be some rough edges, but for anyone looking for some fast-paced mobile suit action and who don't mind a repetitive grind, Daemon X Machina is a big mech with cheese that's worth sinking your teeth into.

Daemon X Machina does enough to satisfy those wanting solid mech combat. Good looking effects and blisteringly fast paced combat, coupled with tight controls makes this one a must-play for fans of the genre. Despite nailing the mech side of things, the game boasts one of the most unlikable roster of characters I've encountered in years. Despite the forgettable story, the game managed to hold my interest for the duration; I just couldn't tell you what it was about...

Daemon X Machina may very well be one of the most refined mech-based shooters, but some questionable design choices leave more to be desired from the game.
