Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Remastered Campaign Reviews
Modern Warfare 2 is the technothriller action blaster you need right now, and it's shown why it's still one of the best entries in the Call of Duty franchise… even if it is a bit silly.
Full of ear-splitting energy, Modern Warfare 2's role in pioneering the cinematic, spellbinding first-person shooter can't be understated. With the world at a standstill, and with their careful and scrupulous translation of an undoubted classic, Beenox ignites the flare and call people back to this middle chapter, and where it all began for so many.
Time has been kind to Modern Warfare 2. The resonance of this particular entry is demonstrated with heartfelt passion in Beenox' high-gloss, finely-tuned remaster. While the overall package is slim and the asking price no doubt steep for some tastes, there's no denying that MW 2's provocative and exciting campaign has aged like wine, an explosive roller-coaster still worth riding.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Remastered brings back the 2009 campaign with updated visuals for modern audiences. Despite not including the multiplayer option similar to the rerelease of Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare the campaign is strong enough to stand on its own. With incredible firefights, visuals, and an amazing soundtrack to bring it all together. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 had one of the best military campaigns last generation and the single-player still holds up today.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Campaign Remastered is a reflection of why the original is hailed in such high regard among gamers.
If you're a big fan of the series or just Modern Warfare 2 specifically, there's no doubt that this remaster will be an easy purchase. If you've not got any nostalgia for the game then the asking price might be a little steep, but this was made with Call of Duty fans in mind. For those fans it should be clear that Modern Warfare 2 Remastered is absolutely worth giving a look.
An excellent remaster of a bonkers campaign, that feels great to play again. It's just a shame that the Special Ops and multiplayer modes didn't make their way in as well.
Call of Duty doesn’t always get full respect given to its campaigns, but Modern Warfare 2 Remastered ages better than you’d expect, and looks greater than you could have imagined.
Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 remastered takes us back to one of the best FPS campaigns in history. This version has seen many improvements that made the game even more entertaining. Either you play the original version or not, you should definitely play Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 remastered as one of the best FPS games of all time.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Campaign Remastered doesn't include the multiplayer and spec ops components.
Overall it's a good technical upgrade, slightly lower than the one made by Raven Software for the first Modern Warfare Remastered but still valid and able to bring the title to the current generation standards. Recommended both to those who already loved it a decade ago and to novices.

Modern Warfare 2 is a dated game due to the archaic framework that surrounds its gunplay and primitive storytelling, showing that the “modern” part of Modern Warfare 2 is no longer as applicable.
Much of Modern Warfare 2 has aged pretty well, and the remaster is very well-done, but the 2019 reboot casts a shadow.
Beenox continues to contribute tremendously to Call of Duty, and Modern Warfare 2 Remastered is unequivocally their best work yet.
A competent remaster of a story mode that, while it still has the ability to impress, feels old-fashioned, shallow, and grossly overpriced.
A competent remaster that gives a decade-old game a suitable level of spit-and-polish, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2's campaign reveals a significant graphical overhaul but its corridor-shooter structure and worn animation give its age away. Nostalgic fans of the series might get a kick, but the barebones remaster isn't a fantastic value proposition for anybody else.
The lack of multiplayer is a shame given how much I adored it back in the day, but knowing that Infinity Ward plans to implement maps and other elements of Modern Warfare 2 into the 2019 iteration is still an enticing prospect. If you’re after an action blockbuster in gaming form, this is essential.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Campaign Remastered is just an effort to play on the old fans' nostalgia, offering a remastered that ends up being worse than the original.
