Deathloop is never anything less than absolute edge-of-your-seat gaming
A great story, clever twist, and fantastic level design come together to make an unforgettable experience. Arkane Lyon has truly created their best game ever.
Arkane adds another wonder to his resume. Deathloop gives a twist to the roguelike genre and does so with tremendous gameplay and very original mechanics that keep us glued to the screen. It is not a perfect game, it has small flaws that prevent it from reaching the maximum score, but it is undoubtedly a must have in every rule.

Deathloop delivers a tense and exciting story from start to finish. Layers upon layers of complex and polished narrative elements build a juggernaut of storytelling perfection. With all of this built on top of solid gun controls, simple yet effective stealth mechanics and some pretty wacky special powers you have a game that delivers everything it should in all areas.
Arkane Studios has succeeded in creating a game that features a mix of several genres. Its a shooter, rogue-like, investigation game with RPG elements and it excel in each. The balance between all of those is truly a masterstroke that players will love.

For fans of Arkane waiting for a Dishonored 3, this will not scratch that itch, nothing can, but it will give you a new Arkane sandbox to play in - a new universe to practice your death dealing skills in, and a terrific new mystery to lose yourself in.
Overall, Deathloop is an absolute joy of a game. It’s 60’s aesthetic, combined with a fun and unique take of the time loop genre allows the game to be played in many different styles. If you’re a fan of time loops, or any of Arkane’s previous games, you’re going to have a blast with Deathloop. It certainly has me keen to see what we’ll get from the studios after Redfall, but in the meantime I’ll be jumping back in for a few more loops.

Deathloop is the best game Arkane has ever made, which is saying something. It is a brilliant culmination of their learnings over the years, and I absolutely love it. World-class writing, world-building, and story are matched with fun gameplay, great performance, and one of the smartest game worlds I’ve ever seen. It’s finally out on Xbox and it’s on Game Pass so do yourself a favor and play this near-masterpiece.
I think that despite having some rough edges here and there, Deathloop could be considered another great work of Arkane Studios, one that has undoubtedly remained for posterity and that I am sure, will reach that degree of cult of the Dishonored and Prey. Who would you recommend this title to? Well, basically if you are a fan of the work of this company, I would tell you that this new proposal has to be within your priorities yes or yes, I am sure you will love it. In the same way and as always when I have the opportunity to talk about Arkane's work, I would tell you to give it a chance as soon as possible, because with Deathloop, we are talking about another of the great jewels of contemporary video game design thanks to its very fine design and shape.

Deathloop is a rare game I started replaying as soon as the credits finished rolling. Now deep in a second playthrough, I'm still discovering new secrets and ways to play
Deathloop combines a classic Arkane stealthy-shooty foundation with a genuinely interesting and fun premise to aplomb. This is going to be on a lot of Game of the Year lists.
Although there are some elements from Dishonored in the game, Arkane Studios delivers a unique FPS, with great characters an intriguing story and a wise use of time loops. There are some technical issues here and there, but we loved the experience.

Colt and Julianna’s rivalry keeps the tension and stakes high and it’s a loop I’ll be going back to over and over again, whether to break it or break other players for trying to break it.
Arkane did it again. Deathloop is a deep and greatly fun immersive sim in disguise, with strong characters, an interesting narrative and a beautifully handcrafted creative gameplay. Blackreef is a wonderful playground where freedom really matters and where amazing happens.
