Symphonia is a sleeper hit that I can only hope will soon take the platforming genre by storm. The platforming mechanics here are refined, satisfying, and a joy to master. Which is only accented by the incredible art direction that serves as eye candy as you go. This symphonic-inspired world is a treat for the eyes and ears, with level design that walks the tightrope between challenging and satisfying with aplomb. And while the narrative present here hits a bum note, I can wholeheartedly recommend Symphonia to any platforming fanatic.

Artistically, Symphonia is one of the most beautiful examples of the precision platformer genre. Its musical themes are engaging and as efficient as the level design and gameplay progression, although the controls are not always as precise as they should be and an absence of an extra area to make the game a more robust and varied package. These questions, however, do not cancel out the harmony of this orchestra that is worth listening to.

Symphonia is a short experience, barely reaching four hours in length, but it doesn't lack anything. As we said above, both the gameplay experience and the setting are superb, and we will always have the feeling that we are attending the performance of a musical piece in which each instrument is playing its line in perfect harmony with the rest of the orchestra.

Symphonia is a unique experience that combines gameplay, music, and storytelling in a way that few video games manage to do. The variety of platforming, combined with the need to learn the timing of most actions, makes Symphonia a real pleasure to play. The optional power-up system also makes it a perfect entry point for those who have never tried exponents of what, let's face it, is a truly niche subgenre. Regardless, for those looking for a game that combines visual beauty, precise gameplay and an outstanding soundtrack, Symphonia is a must-have title. It is an experience that sounds almost like a perfect melody, with only a few minor off-notes.

Symphonia is a great platformer with the short playing time as its only downside. The theme is nice, the animations are beautiful, the music is fantastic and the game plays smoothly. Perfect for the budget bin, but for the full price this game is definitely worth a try.

Symphonia is a visually stunning 2D platformer where music and gameplay intertwine in a harmonious adventure. With its unique momentum-based mechanics, orchestral soundtrack, and challenging optional areas, the game delivers a short yet satisfying experience for fans of the genre. However, minor bugs, an underdeveloped story, and some confusing mechanics hold it back from reaching its full potential. A must-play for platforming enthusiasts seeking something fresh.

Although it lacks greater inspiration as a platform game, Symphonia is a visual delight that impresses with its art direction and the creative use of musical themes in building its world and narrative. It's like watching an orchestra perform in a theatrical play, where every visual and sound element contributes to enriching the experience. In the end, it stands out as an interesting title, deserving at least a chance if you enjoy this type of game.

Symphonia is a pretty straightforward precision platformer. Its short length is really the only big drawback here as the rest of the game is an absolute delight to play through. The orchestral soundtrack is excellent, the visuals look great, and the levels designed in such a meticulous and imaginative way that you’ll find yourself having heaps of fun with this – even in the challenging sections where you’ll die repeatedly.
