The Rogue Prince of Persia successfully marries the franchise's acrobatic roots with the addictive loops of Dead Cells. While the narrative lacks the charisma of Hades and the procedural maps can feel repetitive, the kinetic joy of wall-running into combat makes this a polished, if slightly quiet, prince of the roguelite genre.

Within the Prince of Persia series, The Rogue comes across as the poor relation. The idea of converting the game into a rogue-lite genre is not bad, but unfortunately, this implementation lacks the depth of story or gameplay to keep players engaged for an extended period. However, since its early access release, the developers have improved many aspects of the game, making it a slightly above-average title.

The Rogue Prince of Persia was one of the most unexpected comebacks in recent years, and fortunately, it delivered a satisfying experience. While not without flaws, like most games, these issues are not severe enough to undermine its overall quality. Many of them feel like missed opportunities rather than fundamental failures. If you're a fan of the Prince of Persia series (especially *The Lost Crown*) or seek a polished, concise roguelite, don't miss *The Rogue Prince of Persia*.

"The Rogue Prince of Persia is a bold, charming, and thoroughly entertaining spin-off that successfully merges the series' signature fluid acrobatics with an addictive roguelike structure. While it doesn't quite hit the spectacular highs of The Lost Crown, it stands strong on its own as a fast-paced and challenging adventure that keeps the franchise's newfound momentum alive. Its immediate availability on services like Xbox Game Pass and PlayStation Plus, combined with a small file size, makes it an incredibly easy and enthusiastic recommendation for fans of both the Prince and the genre."

The Rogue Prince of Persia is a welcome addition to the rogue-like family, mixing amazing fluid animations and satisfying combat. It provides an enjoyable progression without the feeling of having to start over every time I would die. I am excited to continue playing this game and finding all the secrets and ability combinations that come with each run.

The Rogue Prince of Persia gives a new interpretation to the classic franchise. The prince must save his city from theirs who attack with dark magic. Thanks to a magical Bola you start again after every death, but keep knowledge and equipment. This creates a clear learning curve, although the repetition can sometimes frustrate. The gameplay does not always feel flexible and enemies are often easy to beat, so that the focus is mainly on acrobatics. Yet the Roguelike system has a motivating effect and feels the progression rewarding. Visually the game distinguishes itself with colorful environments and flowing animations. The result is a fresh, challenging and stylish addition to the series.

The Rogue Prince of Persia is a stylish and well-crafted roguelite that rewards persistence with satisfying combat and clever movement mechanics. While it doesn’t reinvent the genre, its atmosphere, progression system, banging music, and fluid gameplay make it a worthwhile adventure for fans of action-platformers.

The Rogue Prince of Persia is a bold experiment that blends precision and nostalgia into a formula that gives the old hero a fresh face. It’s not a game that will appeal to everyone, but it certainly deserves respect despite its many flaws in the current state. This is what happens when Ubisoft gives the right people creative freedom - we get the kind of projects that once made us love them.

"A bold leap for the series into the roguelite genre" The Rogue Prince of Persia boldly and innovatively blends the classic parkour gameplay with a roguelite system. Each run offers exciting gameplay thanks to its fluid movement, dynamic combat, and vibrant art style. While some repetition and limitations in the random generation system detract from the experience, the game successfully establishes a new identity for the franchise.

The Rogue Prince of Persia successfully revives the franchise with a fast-paced, colorful, and engaging roguelite. Its fragmented narrative, fluid combat, and medallion system make each playthrough captivating and rewarding. Despite some repetitive enemy designs and demanding difficulty, Evil Empire's game shines with its memorable bosses and strong identity. More than just a spin-off, it's a beautiful testament to Prince of Persia's ability to reinvent itself.

Despite the technical hiccups, The Rogue Prince of Persia on PS5 is an absolute blast. It’s the kind of game that keeps you up late telling yourself “just one more run.” Evil Empire has managed to respect the legacy of Prince of Persia while injecting it with the adrenaline of modern roguelites. The wall running, the combat, the branching progression, it all clicks together in a way that feels fresh yet faithful.

We had an enjoyable experience with The Rogue: Prince of Persia, which delivers fast and fluid parkour, captivating music, and a striking artistic direction. However, the story feels shallow and the content relatively limited, making it a better fit for fans of roguelikes and lighter experiences.

In its complete release, The Rogue Prince of Persia didn't manage to break free from the main issue it had in its early access: the little variety and repetitiveness. However, even so, this is a fluid action game, which is extremely satisfying to explore and an easy recommendation for this reason.

Paying homage to a historic franchise and bringing an aesthetic faithful to the game's name, The Rogue Prince of Persia may not stand out as much compared to Evil Empire's predecessor, but it is still a highly entertaining title with a Persian touch that makes the game even more unique, in its own way.

The Rogue Prince of Persia has exciting movement, tight fighting, and runs that you can play again and again. It respects your time while daring you to take risks. Even though there isn’t much of a story and the unlockables could be more fun, the joy of chaining wall runs into perfect strikes makes up for this.

Even if its emphasis on a boring story didn’t catch my attention, it’s hard not to fall for everything else The Rogue Prince of Persia had to offer. It’s a well-polished roguelike, developed by some of the most talented developers in the genre, featuring impeccable mobility, decent combat, and a pretty cool gameplay loop.
