FANTASIAN Neo Dimension is a vibrant and whimsical RPG from some of the best that have ever done it. The incredibly rich storytelling and setting are bolstered by a quaint and gorgeous world to explore thanks to the striking diorama sets, charming characters and another stellar Nobuo Uematsu soundtrack. Though the game isn't without its frustrating grinds, it's more than the sum of its parts. This is a step forward for the turn-based genre thanks to meaningful and much-needed quality-of-life improvements in its tactical nature and pace-controlling Dimengion system. FANTASIAN Neo Dimension proves there is still so much excellence and magnificence to come from RPGs.
Mistwalker returns with a retro tinged JRPG that fans of classic Final Fantasy will adore
Fantasian Neo Dimension is a perfectly fine old-school JRPG, fit for both veterans and newcomers of the genre. It's just that we expected a little more from Sakaguchi-san, whose masterpieces we grew up with on both Nintendo and Sony machines.

This definitive version of a charming, inventive throwback to peak Sakaguchi might still feel like a game best suited to an iPad, but it works well enough that it's absolutely worth a look-in for PS1-era Final Fantasy fans who've been unable to play it thus far.
This was a very responsibly made JRPG that has an epic vision and scope with a sweeping adventure, mystery, and a cast of lovable characters. It scratches that very specific itch that only a real Final Fantasy can scratch.
Fantasian: Neo Dimension is an exciting turn-based RPG that cements the stylings of Mistwalker and Sakaguchi-san's directorial vision. A marked uptick in quality from Fantasian on Apple Arcade, this revamped version hits the classic highs of JRPGs as well as offers an experience that feels polished, complete and exciting. For lovers of older Final Fantasy games, this will scratch the itch, doubly so with the involvement of Uematsu-san, yet another auditory love letter from the master. All in all, this is THE game for JRPG fans.
FANTASIAN Neo Dimension is a newcomer from Apple's mobile hardware adapted for desktop consoles. A classic jRPG with a storyline from Mr. Hironobu Sakaguchi evoking a touch of nostalgia and attracted by the created world. Nevertheless, with the move a few oversights were missed.

Fantasian Neo Dimension is a challenging JRPG that should entertain diehard fans of the genre. The plot is nothing to write home about, but the satisfying combat and gorgeous visuals help it stand out.
Much like Bravely Default, Fantasian: Neo Dimension is functionally a Final Fantasy title that doesn't bear the Final Fantasy name. It has a very similar tone and atmosphere to the older SNES titles in the franchise, but it has enough modern elements to stand on its own merits. The story can sometimes be simplistic in a very charming way. The game's only flaws are a difficulty level that might be a touch too high for some and the lingering remnants of its mobile release heritage. If you're a fan of older Final Fantasy games, you owe it to yourself to try Fantasian.

It’s hard to shake the feeling that Fantasian was a project designed to give several legends of the JRPG genre closure. By revising their great classic and both modernising and paying homage to it in equal measures, they can look back at their careers with the satisfaction of having completed a full journey of their own. For people that clearly love storytelling so much it’s hard to imagine a better way to finish up.
Fantasian Neo Dimension is an excellent re-release of Hironobu Sakaguchi's great work, one that gets all its elements right. From the story to the gameplay, through the soundtrack and visuals, everything fits into a high-quality package that will please JRPG fans.

Hironobu Sakaguchi has delivered another worthy RPG to his portfolio. Its nostalgic RPG systems are interesting with, the new entertaining twists, to the turn-based genre. Though the story did not fully endear itself to me, it is still a great adventure with magnificent environments and beautiful music. I will be playing Fantasian Neo Dimension for many more hours.
Hironobu Sakaguchi has successfully developed a beautiful classic turn-based RPG with Fantasian Neo Dimension. You're looking at a truly stunning piece of work in every aspect. A story that will keep you engaged for around 40 hours and battles whose variety doesn't diminish the fun. If you're a fan of the RPG genre and Final Fantasy, we highly recommend adding this game to your list.

Fantasian is comfort food for fans of the genre. It's a gorgeously made exploration of all the themes Hironobu Sakaguchi began to explore with Final Fantasy. It's almost traditional to a fault, but that won't matter to the devoted, who will rejoice in the return to the familiar.

Be prepared to sink a lot of hours into Fantasian. At minimum you will need to play for about 50 hours to get to the end of the main story. There are plenty of side-quests and post-game content to significantly extend the experience if you are that way inclined. If you pick up this game, I assume you have completionist tendencies – this is a JRPG after all. Simply said – this is one of those games that every JRPG fan must experience.
