Assassin's Creed: Black Flag Resynced Reviews
Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced is a high quality remake of the original, but the franchise’s formula is still ever-present, as is the jank. This remake doesn’t revolutionize the series, but what it does do is add enough and change enough about the 2013 version to give fans another superb reason to jump back aboard and experience Edward’s story again.
Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced is a triumph. Whilst I was nervous about such significant changes, they are mostly for the better. Combat in particular is a bit more challenging now, whilst also still allowing quick assassinations, naval warfare now has more options and is still the best ship-to-ship combat in gaming, and the removal of the modern day sequences makes space for more historical story and missions. It can get a little muddled and has the classic Ubisoft quirks and issues, but i 's hard not to enjoy this remake.
At the end of the day, Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced is everything I’ve ever loved about the series, now dressed to the Blackbeard nines and bursting with new features to keep gamers busy for days. Sure, I’ve been overwhelmed by the treasure trove of things to do, but not once have I played without a grin plastered across my face.
From the ground up, Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced is nothing short of a massive improvement over the already-great 2013 game.
Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced, much like the Ship of Theseus, is a paradox. It is fresh in its visuals and some side content, yet stripped of all the modern-day timeline narrative (which, ironically, is already the past for us anyway?). It remains classic in a formula that rejects the RPG direction of more recent chapters. Yet, paradoxically, this is exactly where the game manages to breathe fresh air. If you hated it back then, you will still hate it now; if you loved it, well-fair winds and following seas.

Resynced is in love with the original game as much as a lot of us are, and the labours of said love are on display in almost every aspect. Put bluntly, Resynced is easily now the best way to play Assassin's Creed Black Flag either again or for the first time, further enhancing what already was the definitive single-player pirate game.
The original game’s story and characters are among the best in the series and remain a solid foundation on which to build the world. Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced strikes a near-perfect balance between preservation and improvement.
And while I have stated that not every game needs a remake, this one gives me hope that maybe in the future, we might see a “Resync” of my favorite games of the series being the Ezio Trilogy.
Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced is a fantastic remake that adds meaningful changes and quality-of-life improvements that make an already stellar swashbuckling adventure an absolute must-have for PS5 owners.
Like a captain going down with their ship, Ubisoft has remained loyal to the classic Assassin's Creed: Black Flag experience in this new Resynced version. It's as you remember it, except better, bigger, and markedly flashier in all the right ways. Assassin's Creed: Black Flag Resynced demonstrates there's still a charm to staying faithful.
Assassin’s Creed Black Flag: Resynced does a fantastic job bringing one of the best pirate games to the modern age.
If you played the original, this new version offers enough improvements to justify returning. And if you never had the chance to experience this adventure, you'll find few better entry points within the franchise.

Ultimately, Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynched is a wildly successful reboot of a franchise favorite. Delivering more new content than I can readily list (as well as a new lick of paint!), it’s bound to make returning fans and fresh devotees as excited to set sail as we were more than a decade ago.
Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag always seemed, to me, like a significant departure for Ubisoft's flagship series. More a pirate fantasy than an as...
Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced takes one of the most beloved Assassin's Creed games and overhauls it. While enough is cut from the original that it isn't "complete", the core experience is a feast for the eyes and has never felt better to play.
Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced has been remade from the ground up using Ubisoft's in-house Anvil Engine, using the same technology that brought forth Shadows.
Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced is yet another bountiful voyage for Edward Kenway and company.
