The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt - Remastered Reviews
As if anyone needed it, The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt Remastered reminds us that the game is more than worth revisiting.
The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt remains one of the greatest open-world RPGs ever made, and this Remastered version gives it a welcome modern touch. Improved visuals, lighting, animations, combat, progression and quality-of-life features make returning to the Continent a joy, while the complete package includes both excellent expansions. A few technical issues and visual glitches remain, but they do little to diminish an exceptional RPG experience.

Even for someone with relatively little experience in The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt’s universe, the scale of the world, the branching narrative, and the stunning visuals make for an impressive title on so many levels. The new features, graphical upgrades, and inclusion of past expansions in Remastered only enhance what is already a game in the upper echelon of RPG greats, although there are launch issues that will need ironing out. Combat might be better than it was before, but it is still an area that lags behind compared to other aspects that are done exceptionally well. With integrated mod support, though, perhaps some of the most lacking elements could yet continue to improve.
Believe the hype: The Witcher 3 Remastered on Switch 2 is absolutely worth the asking price for Nintendo gamers.

It's The Witcher 3, complete with its two excellent DLCs: Blood and Wine, stronger in terms of sheer content, and Hearts of Stone, stronger on an artistic level. The remastering work is precise, aside from a few minor stumbles, mostly involving the menus. It's genuinely hard to pass up, especially considering we'll need to be ready for Songs of the Past.

The Witcher 3 Remastered gives a beloved classic a new lease of life, with meaningful improvements to its visuals and gameplay.
Without a doubt, The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt - Remastered is the best way to revisit The Witcher 3. It is beautiful, polished, still packed with timeless content, and comes as a free upgrade. The Witcher still has a story that holds up remarkably well today and a world worth exploring, and its quality has always made it better equipped than most games to withstand the passage of time.

The Witcher 3 Wild Hunt Remastered makes a strong technical leap on Switch 2, pairing smooth 40 FPS gameplay with VRR, portable-friendly visuals, and extensive features. Docked image quality and inconsistent HDR presentation hold it back, but the free upgrade and complete content package make this a substantial modernisation.
The Witcher 3 was already a masterpiece, and this free remaster proves it could still get better.

It should come as no surprise, but this is easily the best way to experience one of the greatest games ever made. With the unexpected but welcome Songs of the Past expansion dropping next year and The Witcher IV on the horizon, I implore newcomers and returning fans alike to remember why The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt has earned its enduring legacy.
The greatest strength of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt – Remastered is that it gives us an excuse to once again step into the shoes of Geralt of Rivia on his journey across the Continent. Even years later, it’s still thrilling to wield the steel sword and the silver sword, and this time around, CD PROJEKT RED delivers an updated combat system that’s smoother and more modern. The graphics have been updated, particularly in terms of models but especially in lighting, which, thanks to ray tracing and path tracing, has achieved a new level of visual realism. It’s a shame, however, that the overall result is inconsistent and that performance takes a significant hit when these technologies are enabled. The developers have already stated that they’ll release patches to address these issues in the near future, but for now, we have to acknowledge that the performance of this Remastered version isn’t optimal. Still, the joy of riding our Roach again is priceless, and it’s a great way to pass the time while waiting for Songs of the Past!

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt Remastered turns Nintendo's new console into the ultimate handheld platform to join Geralt of Rivia on his journey. Although the lack of a 60 FPS mode is noticeable and docked play shows jagged edges on larger displays, the sheer volume of content and its quality-of-life improvements keep it firmly cemented as an essential masterpiece.
