Dead by Daylight on mobile from NetEase Games is quite good. It captures the essence of its PC brethren and makes for a wonderful, yet casual horror-filled good time.

Dead By Daylight is a fun, generous and addictive horror multiplayer game. After five years of service, the app is not empty and continues to gorge itself on content.

After almost five years, Dead by Daylight has grown into an incredible slasher film simulator, and the best asymmetrical multiplayer game around.

It's shocking how much depth Dead By Daylight packs into its systems.

Twenty seven months worth of patches, content updates and a next-generation coat of visual sheen is enough to allow Dead by Daylight to realize its ambition as one of the most enjoyably terrifying online multiplayer experiences out there. If you've been holding off and waiting for Dead by Daylight to 'get good' or 'get fixed', now is the time for you to finally jump in. You won't regret it.

Dead By Daylight has evolved into somewhat of a phenomenon, proving that the often maligned games-as-a-service model produces more than just cookie cutter loot shooters. It's still an acquired taste and a bit rough around the edges though stands out as one of the most unique ongoing multiplayer games of the generation.

Ultimately Dead by Daylight is the best at what it does. It’s a competitive hide-and-seek game with a gruesome polish on it. Not even Behaviour Interactive themselves can outdo Dead by Daylight, their own game Deathgarden closed down its servers earlier this year.

Overall, there are better ways to play Dead By Daylight (it's free with Xbox Game Pass) but, it plays really well on Switch and if you don't have any other platform, it's a great game that is a worthy addition to your Switch collection.

But I can only recommend this version if you have no other means of playing it. If you have only a Nintendo Switch and this type of game interests you, I recommend it, maybe even with the lights out, headphones on, and volume up.

i]Dead by Daylight[/i] has the groundwork for a great game but stumbles in its execution. It could be so much more with just a little more polish. Hopefully, it will inspire better products of this variety, because the concept contains a bundle of promise. Horror fans will find a lot to love - as long as they keep their expectations low. Nevertheless, for all its sins it is still quite addictive and undeniably fun, at least in the right conditions. It's easy to see how it has amassed a fanbase and warranted a port to the Switch.

If you are new to the game or don’t own any other consoles, I feel this should be a must-own and a vital component to your collection. Dead By Daylight has a solid community, and it really shows. I rarely had a long wait for a game, as either killer or survivor.

Dead By Daylight has been around for quite while now and has remained a pretty popular game on both PC and console over the years. It’s a straightforward and repetitive online affair that, if you're lucky enough to be matched with the right bunch of randoms or happen to be playing a custom match with friends, can deliver the goods in terms of frights and tension from time to time. However, it has also always been a pretty clunky affair, a fact which is amplified further here by the noticeable graphical downgrade, laggy menus and the exclusion of a bunch of DLC that we really feel should have been included for the steep asking price.

I’m sad to admit it, but Dead by Daylight on Nintendo Switch is a huge let-down. I love the game, and while I was excited to get to play it on a handheld format, its lagginess, framerate issues and massive graphical downgrade mean that I just can’t recommend it on Switch

Dead for Daylight for the Switch does the bare minimum you'd expect from a competent Switch port, but performance issues make the asking price hard to swallow.

Conceptually I'm a big fan of asymmetric multiplayer, and am always eager to see how another team has tried to tackle this tricky formula...

Dead by Daylight is asymmetrical multiplayer done right. There are few games like this out there, and this is one of them at the top. If you can handle the high tension atmosphere and dark themes, check it out with some friends.

In terms of a good concept and interesting idea, Dead by Daylight has it all. However unfortunately in practice it doesn't work and you would probably regret playing it after a while.
