We are missing it's campaign, but our tears will be wiped by the excellent Blackout mode or it's expanded multiplayer or coop options. A great Call of Duty if you are one of those that weren't into it's single player campaign.

Blackout is the highlight mode in this year's iteration and zombies mode is fun, but the awful single player content drags down the overall experience.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 is a great multiplayer first-person shooter. Each of the three multiplayer modes plays in a number of unique diverse ways, but each maintains that core identity of a Call of Duty title.

There will always be those that lament it for the lack of a single player campaign, but what Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 does for its multiplayer experience is nothing less than phenomenal. Traditional multiplayer has never been better thanks to a few tweaks and additions here and there that elevate the action to a whole new level, while the all new Blackout mode does Battle Royale better than anyone else. And on top of that, Zombies continues to impress us with a plethora of mechanics to engage with and scenarios to complete. As a package, you're going to struggle to find much better than Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 in the multiplayer market this year.

Black Ops 4 flashes all the things this series is best known for – the new Call of Duty is a festival of joyous, dynamic and bombastic online fragging. The Zombie mode is especially good, but the infamous Blackout mode doesn't quite deliver. All in all, CoD holds up pretty well, but it's easy to find numerous pitfalls.

Black Ops 4, looks great with its excellent designed maps (which all run smoothly on PC by the way). The bots do a decent job of keeping players on their toes, and the zombies provide enough drama to keep you coming back for one more attempt. The entire package works despite the lack of an actual campaign. The bite-sized chunks of modes make up for this offering plentiful replay value. The bonus in all of this is once you feel competent enough to play with others then that option is available as well depending on how good your Internet connection is. Black Ops 4 is worth a punt if you enjoy the game modes on offer. If a more story based antics appeal to you more then it’s a no-brainer this isn’t going to scratch your itch.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 has made some bold changes to the series, and ultimately, they're for the better. The inclusion of a battle royale mode is a first, and even the more familiar multiplayer and Zombies survival mode are not what they once were. Changes are always risky, but in Black Ops 4's case, it worked out for the better.

CoD Black Ops 4 is a good game, where Treyarch succeeds in offering a AAA Battle Royale experience packed with goods ideas. The Zombie mode is bigger and exhilarating, but unfortunately the classic multiplayer mode doesn't offer anything really new. All that is not enough to make us all forget the solo campaign, who totally disappeared in this episode.

All in all, Black Ops 4 is a really solid and polished package of multiplayer goodness. As I made my way through the multiplayer ranks, I found myself thinking about the missing single-player campaign less.

Treyarch has once again taken the Call of Duty to the next level, by adding something completely different – much like they did with Zombies. Call of Duty Black Ops 4 has taken bits from a lot of other popular games. Be it the instant hit Blackout, from the rise in popularity of battle royal, or Heist mode where you gain income each round but must purchase weaponry, akin to Counter Strike Global Offensive. Treyarch seems to have been happy to do this and experiment with features like a tweaked health system. It has paid off, despite there not being the storyline to play, there is more than ever to keep gamers hooked and playing Call of Duty for the next year!

Black Ops 4 is easily the best Call Of Duty has been in years. The game plays almost flawlessly, and despite it not having a single player campaign still offers lots of content including the new Battle Royale mode Blackout. The only thing keeping Black Ops 4 from a perfect score is that the multiplayer maps, while being well designed lack originality and rely too heavily on remaking the past. If you haven't played Call Of Duty for a while, Black Ops 4 gives you plenty of reasons to return.

With 3 strong and well designed online experiences, Black Ops 4 achieves a fantastic and addictive experience for young players. With it's own Battle Royale called Black Out turns out to be better than people expect and could set a new direction for this popular genre. A must entry for Call of Duty long time fans.
