New style of Wolfenstein with young generation of killers is different, but still full of action and with cooperation.

Despite some big changes to the overall formula, Wolfenstein: Youngblood remains another solid entry in a very reliable series.

Wolfenstein: Youngblood is a hilarious game set in the alternate world of Wolfenstein. The Nazi Paris of the 80's is really hilarious, you can see the attention to precision and detail. However, the gameplay suffers heavily under the AI and is primarily focused on playing with another live player. Overall, this is an average title that tries to get the most out of the world of Wolfenstein and set it in a modern gameplay setting.

Bethesda has continued its streak of bringing games with ambitious scope to the handheld-capable Switch, but of their offerings on the system Youngblood feels the least satisfying overall...

While I can appreciate that Machine Games may have wanted to push the envelope and try something new with a series they’ve been hard at work on for years, I think they may have pushed the boat a little too far all at once. This is a very different Wolfenstein experience, and while it’s not bad, it’s certainly not what I’d expected from them based on the history of the series and the pre-release previews of the game. I’m still very much interested in seeing where they take the Wolfenstein franchise from here though.

Could have been a great game if only it wasn't held by bizarre gameplay features that nobody asked for.

Wolfenstein Youngblood takes a different approach than previous Wolfenstein installments. Co-op instead of solo-adventuring and a bigger emphasis on exploring. Aside from some small hickups with stealth and enemies, it's a blast from beginning to end.

For the budget price of $30, Wolfenstein: Youngblood is packed with a decent amount of content, marred by a few mundane design decisions.

Wolfenstein: Youngblood is one of those games that has a lot of cool ideas and concepts, but barely sticks the landing. If the co-op matchmaking was better and the mission structure wasn’t so lazily-designed, this could’ve been a really enjoyable co-op shooter that is worth the 8 to 10 hours.

Wolfenstein Youngblood leaves us with the taste of a game that was created in order to test the waters for a shooter with the integration of RPG elements.

Wolfnstein: Youngblood is a fun game with a very good base to do more, which misuses some of its tools and is unable to surprise the player when it takes some time to play. Much better if you play with someone.

A COMMON FPS game with impressive graphics, that's Wolfenstein: Youngblood. It brings nothing new to the game genre, something expected from the franchise that carries the title "grandfather of 3D shooters". The game is not an open world, neither a mission-based. It's an "OPEN MISSION WORLD". You can travel around the city blocks as you wish but there is no reason to explore as you will only find the same dynamics, Nazi soldiers to kill. PC players: before buying the game make sure you have a top tier PC or patience to custom the graphics settings.

A violent, arcade shooter, that doesn’t give a stuff about your fancy upgrades, your new gun mechanics, your brand spanking new mech-armour, or your feelings. Wolfenstein should always be known for kicking ass, and taking names, and while I do believe Youngblood does try to take that notion, and turn it into a party, the party stopped the moment it wanted to be modernised. It’s the old saying, “if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it”.

Wolfenstein Youngblood is a different game than the previous two versions of the series. The main focus is on the two-person mode, and there are no longer any good and bad characters. The story has a severe decline from previous versions and suffers from a lack of memorable characters. But Gunplay is still fascinating, and the upgraded systems and capabilities still make the game as fun as it used to be.

A frustrating and completely pointless game, devoid of any meaning of reason to be, that breaks the good streak that the series was having with its last MachineGames' titles.

Wolfenstein: Youngblood is not a bad game. It undeniably is a Wolfenstein from Machine Games and Arkane Studios so it does hit the AAA qualities in terms of gameplay and leveldesign. It surely isn't a good game though with new semi-open world and RPG mechanics clashing against each other and a weak story padded wih repetetive fodder. You might want to grab this one if you are after an OK mindless shooter for coop nazi killing. If you are looking for a Wolfenstein title to play solo, feel free to skip this one.

Wolfenstein Youngblood is an awesome third chapter in the latest Wolfenstein series. The fast gameplay, weapon customization, and AI make this a great FPS, but it doesn't live up to the same cinematic level as the first two games.

Regardless, with graphical improvements, constant performance updates, and an upcoming RTX implementation on Nvidia’s side of things – Wolfenstein: Youngblood could very well be one of the greatest the series has to offer in quite some time. Our only complaint? The minor audio and video jitters that do happen once in a very blue moon.

Youngblood feels like a weird mishmash of two clearly distinct design principles – the open-ended approach by Arkane and the linear and often action fueled sequences by MachineGames. The end result is a lesser game, devoid of soul and interesting mechanics.

Wolfenstein: Youngblood is a great coop experience that manages to retain several elements of the prior Wolfenstein games – the gunplay, the characters, the excellent writing, and presentation – but changes up the mission-flow, enemy encounters, and the levelling mechanics to better facilitate a faster-paced game.
