Much like a real hunt, Predator: Hunting Grounds rewards patience. Wading through the questionable technical performance and perplexing design gives persistent Predators a multiplayer experience that flourishes as its cat-and-mouse gameplay reveals itself like a newly uncloaked Yautja.

...despite the dedicated appreciation for the franchise, Predator: Hunting Grounds is poorly made and not fun to play.

Predator Hunting Grounds could have been a good product, thanks to the franchise from which it draws inspiration, staging an engaging show capable of bringing to the field one of the most fascinating alien in the Hollywood history. Unfortunately, the realization of this title, as its brother Friday 13: The Game, makes it hard to be bought at full price, leaving us only the hope a good post launch support to save it from auto-destruction.

Remember the dumpster fire that was Alien: Colonial Marines? Just imagine that, but instead, it's an asymmetrical multiplayer game featuring the Predator. Is it technically playable? Sure. But you won't want to play it for an extended period of time. Please don't waste your money on this.

Predator: Hunting Grounds is a multiplayer game to enjoy with friends. Sowing terror as a Predator by going through the jungle could be great, but the game needs to improve a few points. Although the title has major shortcomings, such as the lack of maps or long matchmaking times, the studio has designed a game that will please fans of Friday the 13th: The Game.

I enjoyed Predator: Hunting Grounds, no doubt, but the glaring issues it has as an overall package is difficult to ignore. This would have been a great game if it had a single-player campaign. Do you know what would have been an awesome 4v1? Ridley Scott’s Alien.

There’s love for the franchise here for sure, it just needed more time in the oven to produce a quality product of that love.

On a superficial level, Predator: Hunting Grounds succeeds at translating elements of the original 1987 movie into a four-on-one multiplayer game, and the matchups are occasionally tense and thrilling. But shoddy game balance, sloppy design, frequent bugs, and significant technical shortcomings squander most of the potential.

Despite delivering on nostalgia, Predator Hunting Grounds lacks the punch to make it stand out.

Predator: Hunting Grounds isn't bad at all, but it desperately needs more content and bugfixing. The core gameplay is very promising, though.

The game have hunted down a recommendation of 7 points out of 10. It's a nice surprise to watch how the developers took over other famous film brands, worked it out greatly and added a couple of easter eggs, which will make fans all the more happy. However, the game has its mistekes, which reduce its quality. Players can leave the game soon, so developers must try to fix any bugs and deliver new content on a regular basis. Either way, good luck hunting! Or actually escpaing… you know what? Just enjoy the game.

Predator: Hunting Grounds reminds me very much of Evolve and Illfonic's previous Friday the 13th game. That is to say it has a lot of potential. The core gameplay can be fun, though the time between the fun

Predator: Hunting Grounds is bolstered by its unique gameplay dynamics and beloved license, but falls flat thanks to unbalanced and repetitive matches as well as a general lack of polish.

Predator: Hunting Grounds is adecent asymmetrical online shooter, despite lacking the polish of bigger, more established games. Although there aren't a lot of modes, and load times to play as the Predator are too long, it's still a lot of fun.

Returning players will feel the same sense of déjà vu they would upon watching a disappointing movie sequel... and to be blunt that's something that Predator fans know all too well at this point.

I'm curious where Predator: Hunting Grounds will go from here given Sony's backing and IllFonic's takeaways from its prior game, Friday the 13th. Despite all the glaring issues, numerous nitpicks, and small scope, I have a real soft spot for this game. The concept deserves to grow and thrive for years.

Predator: Hunting Grounds feels like a rough and empty game that is held up by its adherence to the original film's tone and atmosphere. But the overall quality hits more like the forgettable sequels, unfortunately.

Predator: Hunting Grounds isn’t perfect, but it does a good job of offering a fun action-packed multiplayer romp with one of cinema’s deadliest warriors. It’s enjoyable playing as both the Fireteam and the Predator, so you’re in for a good time no matter who you play as. There’s plenty of gear to earn through progression too, so you’ll always have new weapons, perks, and equipment to customise your loadouts with. It is a shame that there aren’t more maps to play through though, whilst some performance issues and inconsistent gameplay mechanics do hamper the experience in places. Overall though, Predator: Hunting Grounds certainly has more good than bad and it’s easy to find yourself completely engrossed into the experience. Let’s just hope that Illfonic keep supporting the game with additional content and updates over the coming months…

Predator: Hunting Ground is a quite fun and entertaining game and one of which, without becoming a follower of the franchise, we will spend very great moments. If, on the other hand, you are a fan, this is undoubtedly your game, since the feeling of playing like a Predator and feeling like you are hunting humans is priceless. The feeling of immersion is brutal and the graphics, quite correct, contribute to it.

Hunting Grounds is one of those games that have some great ideas, but this ideas are not well executed. Not only the game lacks a lot of content but also the game take some weird decisions regarding its mechanics.
