ASTLIBRA Revision Reviews
Astlibra Revision may not be a truly great game, but it is most certainly an interesting one. At the very least, it is unafraid to challenge JRPG conventions in unique ways while also demonstrating mastery of the genre's most basic tropes. It can feel a little too archaic in its design and haphazard in its pacing, while the vaguely Flash game-esque visuals are a bit of a letdown. On the whole, though, it proves to be a worthwhile experience, one that we would especially recommend to fans of older RPGs. If you can look past its faults, there's a lot to love about Astlibra; we'd suggest you investigate if your interest is piqued.
Astlibra Revision asks a lot from players upfront. It’s very much built for those who like grindy games, and it’s unpolished in ways that you’d expect from a title created by one person. But if you can enjoy what the game puts on the table, you’ll find an engaging combat system and a captivating, if not occasionally bizarre story. It’s an acquired taste for sure, but for those with the right palate, Astlibra is a one-of-a-kind experience
Astlibra Review is a modern classic with a perfect balance between action and role-playing. It has several aspects that can be improved as a result of having been developed by a single person, but when you put everything in the balance, its virtues weigh much more than its defects. If you miss the RPGs of yesteryear, it's a must.

Astlibra Revision can be a bit grindy at times and has a lot of dialogue, even for an action RPG, but I'd be remiss if didn't say this is one of my favorite games I've played recently. The game looks and feels like you're playing an anime (complete with intro sequence at the start of each chapter) and the music is really hard not to rock out to. If you're into action RPGs or just want to give this a shot, you can check out the demo before hand to get an idea how mostly everything works. Once you're ready to dive into the full game, there's not much more to say but enjoy.
As far as action RPGs go, Astlibra Revision is one of the most surprising I've played in quite some time. Outside of the occasional gap where neither the story nor gameplay seem to be progressing, it engages (and challenges) the player in multiple unique ways throughout its somewhat lengthy duration.
If you can look past the amateurish presentation there is a profound story and captivating gameplay experience unlike anything else waiting to be discovered.
Astlibra Revision captures the perfect definition of a hidden gem. it's engrossing gameplay and narrative makes it an easy recommendation to fans of the 2D action RPG genre.
Astlibra Revision is an epic that would make Tolkien blush. At the tail end of the marathon, it throws a curveball that’d leave a Major League pitcher whimpering. It’s like Astlibra has got an infinite well of weirdness, constantly bubbling up with fresh insanity just when you think you’ve seen it all.
Astlibra Revision and its DLC Astlibra Gaiden: The Cave of Phantom Mist offer captivating and distinct experiences to fans of action RPGs. While the main game gives us an intriguing plot and rich combat system, the DLC has an approach more focused on the battles, introducing roguelike elements that make the gameplay extremely addicting. Though there are a few qualms, it's a more than welcome addition to the genre.

"Interesting rpg with too many dry moments."

Astlibra Revision is a fun action RPG with an intriguing story that is held down by many tired tropes in its writing.
Despite the specific observations above, Astlibra Revision is, in my opinion, one of the big recent surprises. Few times have I seen a similar game; each new chapter makes it clear that this is a passionate developer's life's work. Be it for the plot development, the excellent combat system or the surprisingly moving soundtrack, this is a title that must be experienced, especially for fans of the genre. A slip-up or two isn't enough to destroy the value of this diamond that, despite its imperfections, shines well enough to be a highlight in a universe of good games this year.

With a pleasant soundtrack and well-constructed cinematic sequences, combined with meticulous art and a great narrative thread capable of holding the player through the constant time travel, Astlibra Revision is a great and challenging experience as an action role play game. It is true that it is the result of a solo production that has received the treatment of a team in this edition of Revision and that accommodates many elements and a management of the equipment and experience in old school modes. But he also knows well that games of this caliber and composition continue to reach the market, beyond the names and brands that usually triumph in these productions.

Astlilbra Revision is a phenomenal achievement from a solo developer. Addictive combat that makes action RPG grinding fun. It’s a crazy story that will tickle the emotional strings and gameplay that keeps on giving the more you sink time into it. This title keeps you busy for hours and hours, whether you’re tucking in for a long session or only have time to fit in a few minutes. Multiple difficulties make the experience more accessible to a wider audience. There are small things to nitpick, like odd translations and missions requiring a lot of backtracking through the same areas. However, these are easily overlooked by the deep combat system and an awesome soundtrack. Astlilbra Revision is also a game that should be held up as an example to all budding game designers. You don’t need the best graphics or super powered engine to stand out, just passion for your work. Hopefully, this review will give Astlilbra Revision the attention it deserves.
Don’t let its looks fool you, Astlibra Revision is a great action RPG with hooks that will keep you coming back for more.
With big boss fights, fun combat systems, and a charming story featuring justice and righteousness, ASTLIBRA Revision is a great 2D action RPG and well worth the time investment.
ASTLIBRA Revision is a side-action RPG developed by KEIZO, a single developer for a whopping 14 years. The game is quite dense both in terms of story and playable mechanics, and against all odds the result is outstanding, everything ends up working and fitting together perfectly and as soon as we let ourselves get caught up, we will have many hours of fun. This is a hidden gem that deserves much more recognition and is a must-have for lovers of the genre.

An epic action RPG that compensates for pretty ordinary core combat with a multitude of skills and gear options
Astlibra Revision is a game that initially didn’t gel with me with but, very quickly, managed to ensnare me in a very addictive progression loop anchored by fun and flowing action gameplay. In other words, I have had an absolute blast with this title, and it is definitely going to be making my top ten list of 2022. This title isn’t receiving much in the form of marketing or word of mouth, and that’s an absolute shame because I feel like anyone that is a fan of classic action RPGs with platformer elements will absolutely take well to this game. And considering that the entire game was crafted by one person speaks volumes for what they have accomplished here, and I look forward to seeing what they attempt to do next. If you’re a fan of classic 2D adventures, Astlibra Revision offers a retro-inspired quest worth undertaking, and I am genuinely glad that this review crossed my desk because, without it, it would have very likely evaded my attention. Do yourself a favor, and do not let that outcome happen to you.
ASTLIBRA Revision does not revolutionize anything, but it does offer a world and gameplay that will keep you occupied for a lengthy amount of time. Just don’t expect the best dialogue or narrative pacing, such as how the game’s introductory section feels miserably long, even though it’s only about twenty minutes.
