Final Fantasy VII Rebirth outshines its predecessor in every aspect by providing a vast world to explore, numerous mini-games to master, and an expansive story free of filler content. However, it falls short of replicating the emotional resonance of the original’s pivotal climax. Nevertheless, it excels in developing relationships, delving deeper into character exploration, and introducing new, unforgettable story elements.

Final Fantasy VII Rebirth is surprisingly fun, comical and further improves on the already excellent ATB combat system. It's already one of the contenders for best game of the year.

Although Final Fantasy VII will be accepted differently, it can be beloved JRPG for fans of the original willing to accept reimagination, world extension, more than 100 hours of gameplay in open world that is both familiar and new. It has still one of the best crew of the videogame heroes and combat system is always a blast.

Somehow, despite shouldering almost impossible expectations, Rebirth is a wonder: a marvel of a game that merges the old and nostalgic with the ever-increasing burdens of modern gaming sensibilities and technical prowess.  The combat is incredible, fine-tuned to a sharp edge, and a noticeable improvement over its predecessor. Rebirth also justifies its shift toward open-world gameplay with a breadth and depth of content that ranges from simple tasks to deeply involved side quests. Despite a turbulent ending that almost feels more tailor-made to invite speculation than to provide a coherent narrative, Final Fantasy VII Rebirth is a high watermark of the genre. Its true legacy, however, will ultimately be determined by the final part of this exciting trilogy.

Final Fantasy VII Rebirth was a joy to play from start to finish and is a title every FFVII fan should play as they’ve done an exceptional job at bringing to life the world outside Midgar. There are a lot of changes to the original, but they’re changes I find myself welcoming, as this has now been one of my favorite JRPG experiences in recent years.

This part of the PSOne game has been remade with extreme care, marvellous graphics, and considerable enhancements in terms of both side content and the narrative.

Final Fantasy VII Rebirth tried to take over the baton from the chic Remake, but instead of a concentrated story adventure, it offered all the worst trends of open-world games, did not really deepen the events familiar from FF VII, and at the same time broke one of the most important plot points of the original "finale".

While may stumble at times with balancing the amount of mini-games it throws your way, Final Fantasy VII Rebirth excels in all other areas and feels magnificent when all its pieces click into place.

Final Fantasy 7: Rebirth is the direct sequel to Final Fantasy 7 Remake. You soon dive into the open world that is bigger than you dared to dream. The game is of high quality in looks and story. There is also plenty to do. It plays nicely although the fighting is sometimes a bit on the difficult side. For some it is too big, but for many it will be an open world rpg that people have dreamed of.

Final Fantasy VII Rebirth is a lesson from Square-Enix to Square-Enix: Final Fantasy XVI and Naoki Yoshida pale in the face of the construction of gameplay and everything beyond Rebirth's narrative. From moving around with the Chocobo to exploring a huge world, to think that this will only be the second chapter in a trilogy leaves us to imagine how huge the concluding one might be, which will give us a chance to explore everything again with Cid's Highwind.

It’s safe to say that Final Fantasy VII Rebirth is an incredible adaptation of the original game, made by people who really understood the essence of the original game on the PlayStation. With its captivating storyline, refined gameplay mechanics, and impressive attention to detail, it's a must-play for fans of the series and newcomers alike (who started with Remake). While it's not without its flaws, such as lengthy side quests and one too many systems, the overall experience is nothing short of remarkable. Final Fantasy VII Rebirth is not a game you will regret sinking 100+ hours into. It is a very welcome addition into the Final Fantasy VII franchise as it is not just a game; it's an unforgettable journey that will leave you craving more.

In many ways, playing through Final Fantasy VII: Rebirth feels like the dream game many envisioned when they stepped out for the first time to a world full of wonder and possibilities back in 1997.

Final Fantasy VII Rebirth is another excellent installment in the three-part remake of Final Fantasy VII. While I can't say the implementation of an open world was a complete success, the story, characters, and minigames make it absolutely worth playing.

My opinion doesn’t matter. For better or worse, Final Fantasy VII Rebirth is going to be whatever it wants to be, and what it wants to be is anything it damn well pleases. Against all common sense, that audacity absolutely works, and I can’t wait to see how the next game gloriously screws things up.

Final Fantasy VII Rebirth is a great success that met my expectations, even though they were very high. It's impressive to see how the developers have managed to integrate the open-world aspect while modernizing it. What's more, the quantity and quality of the secondary activities make discovering the universe more fun than ever. And it's all done naturally, allowing us to constantly improve our team. Last but not least, everything complements the excellent story, which will leave no one indifferent. It's definitely a contender for Game of the Year, honoring the excellence of the original work.

It will be nearly impossible to evaluate Final Fantasy VII Rebirth outside of the trilogy as a whole in the years to come. But right now nothing is stopping us from doing so. To put it succinctly, Final Fantasy VII Rebirth is one of the finest games in Square Enix's entire history.

The biggest departures in Final Fantasy VII Rebirth’s story feel like fan fiction. There is no restraint when it comes to Sephiroth and there’s too much emphasis on the love triangle to please the repugnant shippers. There should have been more effort to focus on the internal struggle of the characters instead of the “Will she/he, won’t she/he?” aspect of the story.
