Astro Bot Reviews
Astro Bot is a crowd-pleasing kind of game, but it is also a very superficial one that you forget about after playing. The haptics and the sensory experience from playing are novel, but after a while, there is not much else to the game. It can be depressing for older gamers who wish the cameos didn’t feel like you were in a wax museum of dead celebrities; a haunting reminder of Sony squandering some of their classic games.
Astro Bot is a massive love letter to the 30-year history of PlayStation. With creative and charming ideas, the game is a blast to experience, with many cameos that left me astonished. The technical aspects of the title, such as its DualSense and physics implementations, sit at the top of the market. While there are some underutilized abilities and features, Astro Bot is a great time. This is exactly the type of game PlayStation needs more of: a focused adventure that never wavers from its mission of being fun.
As an entertaining, accessible, and polished 3D platformer, Astro Bot offers plenty of variety in both visuals and gameplay, delivering a lively space adventure with plenty of PlayStation references.
If you love PlayStation and its franchises, you will absolutely love this game. The levels are unique, and you will have a smile on your face the entire game. What a brilliant experience.

Astro Bot on PS5 is a delightful expansion of everything fans loved about Astro's Playroom, offering more levels, power-ups, and impressive DualSense features. The game showcases stunning visuals that fully utilize the PS5's hardware, making each level a visual spectacle. With sharp controls and creative level designs, Astro Bot provides a fun, polished platforming experience that’s both accessible and engaging for players of all ages. If you enjoyed the original, this game is a must-play.
Besides Nintendo there aren’n many companies developing big-budget platformers. Astro Bot is a part of a dying breed that delivers tons of pure dopamine shots. If games should first and foremost provide fun, then Astro Bot is a Game with a capital G.

Astro Bot is nothing short of a delight. It takes everything that made that small tech demo a hit and builds on its best parts while improving on the shortcomings. There are a few frustrating moments and it isn’t flawless, but there is more than enough to keep you invested from start to finish. PlayStation has finally got a killer mascot on its hands, one that I hope it doesn’t forget about anytime soon. If you’re looking for a fun and cute adventure filled with challenging levels, addictive collectibles, and a plethora of PlayStation references, Astro Bot is the game for you.
There are games that remind us why we fell in love with video games in the first place. In my opinion, Astro Bot is one of those games. It’s a phenomenally polished title, featuring great audiovisuals and, above all, brilliant gameplay that never gets boring. It's also a family-friendly game, perfect for everyone to enjoy together.
Astro Bot is considered the celebration Sony has cooked for the 30th anniversary of PlayStation, and boy, what a celebration this is! So, in addition to being a phenomenal showcase for PlayStation's legacy and its rich history throughout the 30 years, it is also a great game made with great passion and love for this industry. The game offers a great level design and brilliant gameplay ideas, with stunning visuals and a great soundtrack. However, the game may have suffered a bit for giving fresh ideas in its second half, and despite the frustration, this hasn’t affected my experience with the game a lot because of how great those levels are designed. So, I really enjoyed my time with Astro Bot and of course, it is a must-play.

It’s wild to think that Sony finally has a platformer that rivals the excellent 3D Super Mario Games, but Team Asobi really did it. Don’t miss out on one of the best platforming experiences in gaming history with Astro Bot.
Are you looking for a trip down Playstation lane? Then this is really something for you. Astro Bot is filled with small hints towards old acquaintances of Sony, but also popular equipment from the past regularly passes by. Collect trophies, bots, puzzle pieces and more. The most important thing is of course, have fun while you discover this new platform game.

Astro Bot is a joyful platforming experience that soars thanks to inventive level design and countless loving nods to PlayStation's rich history. It also takes full advantage of the PS5 and its use of the DualSense controller remains novel.
Quite simply, Astro Bot is a more complete experience than its predecessor, featuring all the key elements that made the franchise such a success. The developers at Team Asobi have come up with their biggest project to date, leaving us wanting more and more. Even after I'd finished the game 100%, I still wanted to play levels over and over again. Progression is addictive, and the art direction pays homage to the world of video games. Leaving aside the few problems of inaccuracy due to the genre, for me, the title is already a benchmark for 3D platform games!

Using Astro’s Playroom as a template, Team Asobi delivered a bigger and better 3D platformer with Astro Bot. This latest series entry features creative levels and mechanics that are a joy to play. To top it all off, it’s an excellent tribute to PlayStation’s various iconic and lesser-known characters. Even if Astro Bot doesn’t seem like the type of game that you’d play, it’s very much worth playing given the sheer fun that you can have with its creative platforming gameplay. As such, Astro Bot has the makings of PlayStation’s next big franchise.

The general intention of the development was to focus on easier difficulty, even if you never played platformers. So when players expect an easy and average game, they will be positively surprised by how thoughtful the experience would be. The intensity of details in the DualSense's haptic feedback and adaptive triggers allow some of the most dynamic gaming experiences ever. The players will be in for a ride for the 30 plus years of PlayStation titles and the console legacy, which were naturally blended within its gameplay.
