Mindcop Reviews
Mindcop is a seriously clever detective game that refuses to hold your hand, but makes you feel like a genius when you figure out whodunnit.
Mindcop is an entertaining noir detective game that is a welcome addition to a coveted genre of other great titles. Its three-dimensional characters have enough dilemmas and conflicts to make you stray off the case and dig into their own backstories. The writing has a profound balance between melancholy and humor that it will occasionally sprinkle in some wholesome beats. Despite the time management mechanic being somewhat harsh on your actions, Mindsurf and Sea of Thoughts are two gameplay components that make the experience understandable and easy to manage for casual players. Regardless of its few flaws, those are far outweighed by the creative gameplay, unique art style, and strong writing, which tie everything together wonderfully.
I can’t recommend this game enough. I’m a sucker for good storytelling and mystery-solving. Though a bit short, Mindcop tells a captivating story with interesting characters and unique gameplay mechanics. If you’re the type of person who likes narrative video games and detective work, you will absolutely love Mindcop and its perfectly executed cartoonish noir aesthetic.
A marvellous mind bending murder mystery that puts your deductive reasoning skills to the test.
Mindcop won’t set any trends or shock players with its premise. The story is well-executed enough to see through to the end and entertains until the truth is revealed and beyond. The art style does not stick to landing, but anyone looking for a Northern Pacific mystery with a magical twist will find a lot to enjoy.
Mindcop is a pleasant surprise that revitalizes the detective genre and has enough touches of originality to become a reference for those who wish to venture into this type of proposals in the future

Mindcop is a standout indie detective game that combines innovative mechanics with a gripping murder mystery. Its blend of psychic powers, strategic time management, and real-time puzzles creates a gameplay experience that feels fresh and challenging. While it’s not without its frustrations, the game’s rewarding investigation system and immersive atmosphere make it a must-play for fans of detective and puzzle games. If you’ve ever wanted to solve a crime by diving into someone’s thoughts and piecing together their lies, Mindcop delivers an experience that’s both cerebral and thrilling. Just be prepared to sweat over every decision—because in this game, time waits for no one.
Mindcop is a detective adventure game that combines film noir storytelling with time-sensitive investigation and unique mind-diving mechanics. As a "mindcop," players dive into suspects' subconscious to uncover hidden truths, but every action costs time. With strategic match-3 puzzles and tough decision-making, Mindcop challenges players to solve a mystery with limited resources, creating a tense, immersive experience.
Mindcop excels in creating an intriguing and well-orchestrated world, featuring a well-drawn pair of main characters. The gameplay foundations are solid, with the mindsurfing concept adding a unique twist. However, the progression, despite not being linear, has fixed points that overly simplify case resolution. It's a well-made title, offered at a very affordable price. If you love detective games, it's worth a try.

Surreal, irreverent but also deeply dark and dreamlike. A deep and multifaceted story, one of the best investigation experiences, a cross between a recent Cartoon Network product and True Detective, with a few sprinkles of Twin Peaks-style lysergic acid dissociation This game has three flaws: the risk of having to lose a run for not having put together clues and dialogues in the right way (and it's not easy) and the mechanic of moving time forward, and by the third/fourth run, once you have seen everything and spoken/mindsurfed with everyone, the game becomes quite repetitive.

Mindcop surpasses expectations in terms of what a single detective game can do because of its engaging gameplay, intricate plot, and abundance of atmospheric elements. Whatever your level of mystery-solving expertise, it's a game you won't regret playing.
Mindcop is one of those rare detective games that doesn’t just ask you to follow a trail of clues but challenges you to interpret and question everything you uncover. With its mix of real-time investigation, mind-dive puzzles, and a time-limited mechanic, it manages to stand out as a truly unique experience. The game’s psychological and surreal elements create a mystery that feels deeply personal, forcing you to confront the complexity and ambiguity of human memories.
Mindcop is a fresh and exciting take on the detective genre, blending innovative time-based mechanics with compelling puzzles and a gripping story. Its unique gameplay and stunning visuals make it a standout despite a challenging learning curve. It is a must-play for fans of mystery and puzzle games.
Mindcop is a game that knows how to entertain and brings the player into the climax of investigative activity. Despite being a minute title both in duration and content, the story is interesting and the gameplay simple but satisfying. It is a pity that the only mini-game is a little listless, which can however be deactivated if necessary. On the other hand, the game is well cared for in terms of graphic style, animations and atmosphere.

Mindcop challenges you more than other point-and-click games. It's certainly not easy, but the mystery immersion is well worth the difficulty.
Mindcop brings a wonderful and gripping detective experience that doesn’t take itself too seriously which is a great intuitive mix. The demo had me gripped and the full game did not disappoint. It did feel slow at times however I for sure cannot wait to play through the game multiple times and experience more and more of the dialogue. Maybe just using this time to play the minigame one too many times. I am so glad to see a game that was well thought out with an immersive story full of witty humour and conversational gems. The art style itself is very fitting and give it that noire feel which is perfect for a detective point and click adventure. I really hope Andre Gareis keeps developing diamonds like this! With everything Mindcop has offered and presented, I will be awarding Mindcop the Thumb Culture Platinum Award!
Mindcop is a great detective adventure that puts emphasis on creativity and critical thinking for the player to find the perpetrator. The tools you’re given are adequate for its open-ended approach to game design, and ultimately, it’s up to you to help Mindcop uphold his reputation against a townspeople who carry plenty of baggage. ∎
