With reworked levels, a few new additions, and improved quality-of-life options, Pac-Man World 2 Re-PAC — the yellow glutton’s platforming adventure — is solid and accessible for all ages, but also safe and largely forgettable.

PAC-MAN WORLD 2 Re-PAC is a complete package and an enhanced version of an already great title: revamped visuals, new level additions, reimagined bosses, a main hub with more activities, and even a new multiplayer mode. Of course, some drawbacks from the original World 2 still remain, such as the camera, which can be unpredictable, and the short length of the adventure—those who don't want to search for all the collectibles scattered throughout the levels or complete all the missions can finish the game in a few hours. Ultimately, the remake demonstrates the developers' special affection for the adventure and the character, bringing back one of the most acclaimed titles in the Pac-Man World franchise. There's a good balance between the (many) new features and the original content, and now we can't wait for the trilogy to be complete, when Pac-Man World 3 will surely receive the same treatment.

PAC-MAN World 2 Re-PAC is a fine remaster, but it didn’t win my heart, because some annoying design choices effectively ruins the fun in it.

Pac-Man World 2: Re-Pac won’t be anyone’s brand new favorite game, but I seriously can’t find anything egregious to say about it. It’s a really competent remake of a fun but unpolished gem from back in the day. So when you fix its issues, beef up its visuals, and add in just a bit more content, what you have here is exactly that: a gem.

“Pac-Man World 2: Re-Pac” is the kind of remaster / remake that puts a smile on my face. It improves where it needs in terms of gameplay — which was already great for its time — and comes packed with more content. Although some of the original extras are missing, and some levels feel a bit too generic, it is certainly a good time for collecathon and Pac-Man fans.

Pac-Man World 2 Re-Pac is a colorful trip down memory lane, but lacks the variety to truly keep you hooked. Fun for kids and nostalgic fans, but too simple for the seasoned gamer.

A comfort game, respectful and polished, just not remarkable.

Longtime fans will appreciate some changes and resent others, but the game’s a bit of a mixed bag overall, even if I do like that so much effort was put in here.

Pac-Man World 2 Re-PAC is therefore a valuable remake, capable of sparingly combining past and present. The developers have made the second 3D adventure of the beloved yellow ball more appealing to contemporary audiences without distorting its identity. And as the icing on the cake, they have given us a good dose of new content that makes the package even more complete, both for new gamers and for those who have already experienced that never-too-praised golden age of video games.

Overall, Pac-Man World 2 Re-PAC is a faithful and polished return to one of Pac-Man’s most underrated adventures. It manages to stay true to its 2002 roots while upgrading the experience with sharper visuals, cleaner sound designs, and smoother gameplay that feels right at home on the PlayStation 5. The fast-paced levels are easy to jump into, while the tougher boss fights provide a welcome layer of challenge.

Following the rules of a good remake, PAC-MAN WORLD 2 Re-PAC is a great platformer. The revamped production delivers beauty and joy, while the improved gameplay offers good and fun challenges. Going beyond a well-rounded campaign, we have plenty of content in the form of side missions, online rankings, and even future DLC. Another incredible addition to your library, whether you're a fan of the genre, the franchise, or just a great video game experience.

Pac-Man World 2 Re-Pac brings the yellow icon back with a polished remake of the 2002 platformer. The visuals are colorful, controls feel smoother, and extra content adds some replay value. However, the level design shows its age, the difficulty is almost non-existent, and the adventure can be finished in just a few hours. A charming trip down memory lane, but far from a must-play

As a platformer, PAC-MAN never really delivers anything special. The game plays smoothly and the gameplay is solid, but it never becomes anything special. The classic arcade games are a nice addition, and the bosses offer a bit more variety, but the levels themselves are often a copy-paste of a new platforming element squeezed into a single level. This certainly doesn't make it a bad or good game, but rather mediocre, and whether that's really what you're looking for is debatable.

Pac-Man World 2 Re-Pac offers a lovingly crafted return to a formative title. For newcomers, it’s a good platformer, but it’s not necessary. Newer games of the same type are much better. In the end, the game is a fun, accurate remake that does more to celebrate than to change the world.

Pac-Man World 2 Re-Pac is an enjoyable and well-polished update of a platformer that certainly deserves a modern second chance. Its colourful worlds, satisfying platforming, and playful charm make it easy for just about anyone to enjoy, and whilst it does have some frustrating moments here and there, there’s plenty on offer here to make this re-visiting of Pac-Man’s platforming history to feel worthwhile.

Pac-Man World 2: Re-Pac is a colorful and faithful remake with improved visuals and tight controls, making it the definitive way to play the classic. However, it inherits the original's overly linear and repetitive level design, uninspired boss encounters, and barebones PC port, leaving it enjoyable but short of modern platformer standards.

PAC-MAN WORLD 2 Re-PAC is a solid 3D action adventure platformer that stays true to the original game while introducing a slew of new features and upgrades, including revamped visuals, Quality and Performance modes, voice-acting, and brand-new levels and rewards. However, PAC-MAN WORLD 2 Re-PAC can fall flat at times due to some lackluster level design that limits PAC-MAN's potential in the genre. Despite what the game lacks, it's still a fun game for players of all ages.

PAC-MAN WORLD 2 Re-PAC is more than just a remake of an old game. It's a homage to Pac-Man's heritage and a reminder that old characters may still do well in new games. The game is fun to play, has amazing visuals, interesting puzzles, and a happy soundtrack. You may have fun and explore it for hours. People who like platform games and the original look of Pac-Man should give it a try.

Pac-Man World 2: Re-Pac gives the 2002 platformer a sharp refresh with smoother controls, upgraded visuals, and added features. The mix of collectibles, power-ups, and varied stages keeps the gameplay loop fun, even if some missions feel repetitive. Boss battles and the short runtime hold it back, but the remake still balances nostalgia with modern polish.
