Pac-Man World 2: Re-Pac Reviews
Pac-Man World 2 Re-PAC is the shining example of how older games should be remade, completely from the ground up, modernising where needed while still retaining the Saturday morning cartoon quality of the characters and gameplay that made it such a classic in the first place.
I’m not going to lie, being able to just rush to the end did irk me a bit but Pac-Man World 2 Re-Pac plays so well that I kept playing just for the fun of it. I can really see why this is considered a fan favourite. If you’ve never played the original, I suggest giving this a shot, especially if you’re a fan of collectathons because, boy, does this game put all of its eggs in one basket.
Despite the return of Pac-Man World 2 Re-Pac as an enhanced version, it ultimately offers a mid-level platforming experience that does not live up to expectations. While it is true that the game carries some enjoyable touches, such as the variety of boss ideas in encounters and the addition of simple improvements to puzzles that add a bit of diversification, this is not enough to compensate for the absence of any element of innovation or a distinctive touch that makes it a truly different experience. With the short lifespan of the game and the adventure ending quickly, alongside mediocre music that leaves no clear impact on the player, and characters without identity, the experience as a whole becomes very ordinary—as if it were just an attempt to re-present the past without real development or any mentionable addition. Nevertheless, this experience remains the best experience for this game, and I have high expectations for the enhanced version of the third part or a completely new game.

Pac-Man World 2 Repack is yet another remaster in an endless string of remasters. The game is still fun, and its simplicity will certainly appeal to a younger audience, but there’s really little reason to buy it.

Pac-Man remake brings back nostalgic memories with a modern visual style, balancing classic simplicity and contemporary design. It offers varied, enjoyable stages and new additions that make it appealing to a new audience. However, platformer perfectionists may find some aspects less satisfying due to certain gameplay limitations.

Pac-Man World 2 Re-PAC is more than just a remaster; it is what the original title should have been. It contains double the content, introduces new moves and abilities, and refines the existing levels. While the original wasn't game-changing, Re-PAC is a solid linear platformer and a great callback to the "good old days."
As a seasoned fan of 3D Platformers, Pac-Man World 2 RePac was a game I was eagerly looking forward to after it was revealed. Pac-Man is a series that could be so much more than fun arcade adventures. Strong reworked level design, tight platforming controls, challenging boss encounters, and a shockingly long post-game, alongside strong visuals and music, make this one meal you want a second course of.
PAC-MAN WORLD 2 Re-PAC is a must-have for fans of the World series games. Bandai Namco has done an excellent job with its latest remakes, and this is the definitive way to play the second game in the series.

PAC-MAN WORLD 2 Re-PAC proves that nostalgia, remade with love, can still feel fresh. However, true masterpieces require risk-taking.

With reworked levels, a few new additions, and improved quality-of-life options, Pac-Man World 2 Re-PAC — the yellow glutton’s platforming adventure — is solid and accessible for all ages, but also safe and largely forgettable.

PAC-MAN WORLD 2 Re-PAC is a complete package and an enhanced version of an already great title: revamped visuals, new level additions, reimagined bosses, a main hub with more activities, and even a new multiplayer mode. Of course, some drawbacks from the original World 2 still remain, such as the camera, which can be unpredictable, and the short length of the adventure—those who don't want to search for all the collectibles scattered throughout the levels or complete all the missions can finish the game in a few hours. Ultimately, the remake demonstrates the developers' special affection for the adventure and the character, bringing back one of the most acclaimed titles in the Pac-Man World franchise. There's a good balance between the (many) new features and the original content, and now we can't wait for the trilogy to be complete, when Pac-Man World 3 will surely receive the same treatment.

PAC-MAN World 2 Re-PAC is a fine remaster, but it didn’t win my heart, because some annoying design choices effectively ruins the fun in it.

Pac-Man World 2: Re-Pac won’t be anyone’s brand new favorite game, but I seriously can’t find anything egregious to say about it. It’s a really competent remake of a fun but unpolished gem from back in the day. So when you fix its issues, beef up its visuals, and add in just a bit more content, what you have here is exactly that: a gem.
“Pac-Man World 2: Re-Pac” is the kind of remaster / remake that puts a smile on my face. It improves where it needs in terms of gameplay — which was already great for its time — and comes packed with more content. Although some of the original extras are missing, and some levels feel a bit too generic, it is certainly a good time for collecathon and Pac-Man fans.

Pac-Man World 2 Re-Pac is a colorful trip down memory lane, but lacks the variety to truly keep you hooked. Fun for kids and nostalgic fans, but too simple for the seasoned gamer.

A comfort game, respectful and polished, just not remarkable.
Longtime fans will appreciate some changes and resent others, but the game’s a bit of a mixed bag overall, even if I do like that so much effort was put in here.

Pac-Man World 2 Re-PAC is therefore a valuable remake, capable of sparingly combining past and present. The developers have made the second 3D adventure of the beloved yellow ball more appealing to contemporary audiences without distorting its identity. And as the icing on the cake, they have given us a good dose of new content that makes the package even more complete, both for new gamers and for those who have already experienced that never-too-praised golden age of video games.

Overall, Pac-Man World 2 Re-PAC is a faithful and polished return to one of Pac-Man’s most underrated adventures. It manages to stay true to its 2002 roots while upgrading the experience with sharper visuals, cleaner sound designs, and smoother gameplay that feels right at home on the PlayStation 5. The fast-paced levels are easy to jump into, while the tougher boss fights provide a welcome layer of challenge.
