Super Bomberman Collection Reviews
Hudson Soft's classic franchise returns in Super Bomberman Collection, offering many hours of fun retro action.
Super Bomberman Collection showcases some of the very best gameplay that Bomberman has to offer. Between the various games on offer, there are dozens of hours of exciting couch multiplayer battles to be had, demonstrating that it doesn't take the latest and greatest tech for a game to simply be fun to play with others.Though the lack of native online is disappointing, the great gameplay coupled with some robust museum content that honors the legacy of these games makes this one a no brainer-especially given the relatively cheap price. If you're looking for another game you can pull out on game nights with friends, I'd highly suggest you pick this one up.
Super Bomberman Collection is a must-own for anyone who has ever enjoyed this franchise. With a grand total of seven games, including many that are reaching US shores for the first time, snappy presentation, and tons of behind-the-scenes goodies, you really can't go wrong.

Ultimately, this isn't a lazy emulation but a true work of historical memory, restoring dignity to a series that helped define the canons of a genre that continues to inspire modern titles. Super Bomberman Collection is not only a gift for nostalgic fans to relive a glory of the past, but a bridge for new generations to discover how a simple bomb laid the foundations of the video game.

While other compilations are more robust, Super Bomberman Collection is still a blast with its seven games on offer. The solo gamer in you will have fun in smaller sessions, and grab some friends for a local battle or couch co-op (no online play), and you'll have an even better time.

The Super Bomberman Collection is a genuine celebration of the SNES era of Bomberman games. Five amazing games, tons of goodies, what more could you want?
Super Bomberman Collection is the most complete and confident celebration of Bomberman’s early years to date. It blends preservation with modern polish, offers a wealth of content across seven games, and captures the joyful chaos that made the series iconic. Minor technical quirks and limited online features hold it back slightly, but they do little to diminish the overall achievement. This is Bomberman at its most generous, its most accessible, and its most enduring.
Super Bomberman Collection offers plenty of simple, straightforward fun, whether for a solo player, two players in the campaign, or even four in competitive battles. It features five classic games with useful quality-of-life tools, all beautifully packaged in an impeccable presentation that showcases their history with plenty of extra content, including two NES games as bonuses.

If you have friends or family for local co-op or competitive play, there are a lot of options, stages, and features to explore. While I will continue to bang the drum for thoughtful compilation releases, of which this is definitely one, more online connectivity would have been a great addition to the package. Perhaps best enjoyed in short bursts, Super Bomberman Collection is the best Bomberman release since the Bomberman 64: The Second Attack!.
SUPER BOMBERMAN COLLECTION is bursting with explosive old-school fun that has held up outstandingly well over the decades. Whether you're playing it solo or with a couchful of chums, you'll be in for one superbly entertaining time. 💣
Super Bomberman Collection is worth playing, especially if you have any emotional connection to the franchise or are curious to experience some of the best maze action games ever made.

Super Bomberman Collection is the definitive way to experience classic Bomberman action and is one of the strongest retro compilations on PS5. Seven games with full regional versions, two Japan-only titles now in English, quality-of-life improvements, and a bonus content suite that celebrates the franchise history all make this a great value.
In the end, Super Bomberman Collection is more than a celebratory bundle: it’s a reminder that when a game is built on a clear, timeless idea, it can cross generations without losing its charm. It invites players to rediscover a simple, genuine kind of fun that needs no embellishment to win over both newcomers and longtime fans. And while we can’t truly go back in time, Bomberman’s explosions — and the memories they spark — still echo with surprising freshness. A small but meaningful trip through time, controller in hand and a smile already forming.

Super Bomberman Collection finally brings these classic titles to multiple modern platforms. Although the emulation of the titles suffers from slight input latency and lacks any sort of online functionality outside GameShare, this is a fantastic grab for both enthusiasts who have been wanting to re-experience the series as they remember it and for newbies who have always wanted to see these amazing games but lacked the console to do so.
I don’t think it’s a controversial take to believe that Bomberman is one of the most underrated and under-appreciated mascots and characters in all of gaming. You rarely hear about him when people talk about the best franchises in the medium, even when talking about the classics, but Super Bomberman Collection really puts some respect on the franchise’s name.
Super Bomberman Collection is a real treat: the seven titles that make up the collection are great, with a pleasant and beautiful presentation. In addition, the game has a series of interesting audiovisual materials, useful gameplay tools, and a boss battle mode. Even if the multiplayer component could be better, the game is practically a perfect package for long-time fans or those curious to understand why the brand is so famous in the world of video games.
