Clocking in at the cost of a full modern game, Dead Rising Triple Pack is still a fantastic value. Yes, each of the games have their own unique quirks, but that “je ne sais quoi,” is what helped endear the series to millions of fans, worldwide. The sheer volume of quality content being provided makes it an extremely generous offering, especially for those that don’t have these titles already in their collection. Finally, Capcom was able to put their brain-dead re-release strategy to good use!

The bottom line is if you haven’t played any three of these games, this is the best looking console version to date, and these enduring zombie-smashing games are still worth a playthrough. Outside of that, there’s nothing new in this Triple Pack to draw old Frank West fans back to experience the chaos again before he returns in Dead Rising 4 this December.

The Dead Rising Triple Pack doesn't really do anything to improve the series, but these three games are worth it regardless.

Overall, the Dead Rising Triple Pack is a great value bundle for newcomers of the series. While returning fans will certainly feel the sting of not being able to enjoy the ‘definitive’ Dead Rising experience due to the lack of DLC inclusion, the Triple Pack is currently the best way to acquaint yourself with the series before Dead Rising 4 launches at the end of the year.

In all seriousness, you’re better off skipping the Triple Pack and getting Dead Rising 3 instead — and for the same price. Or, just saving your cash for Dead Rising 4 and (hopefully, a less assholish) West.

Dead Rising Triple Pack is a great way for those who have never played these games to dive in and see what all the fuss is about, but it might not be quite enough to warrant those who have already played them to take the double dip. Still, these 3 games are capable of offering dozens upon dozens of hours of zombie-mutilating fun and this package is the definitive way to experience them.

The 'Dead Rising Triple Pack' is a trip through memory lane that is helped tremendously by the games still being a blast to play. While the package falls short as both an update (none of the games have been mechanically improved in any significant way) and a historical package (the standalone expansions 'Case Zero' and 'Case West' are missing), it's still enjoyable getting to see how the series has evolved over time. It's a great appetizer before 'Dead Rising 4' releases later this year, and a reminder why Frank West is a great character.

Nostalgia only carries this bundle so far. Whilst these are enjoyable games, they're showing an age befitting their 10 year anniversary.

It may show its age in places, but the core of the original Dead Rising has not become rotten in the past decade. A shame then the same cannot quite be said of its successors.

If you haven’t had the opportunity to punch your ticket for a three-day getaway to Fortune City, the Dead Rising Triple Pack might be just the vacation you’ve been waiting for.

Dead Rising Triple Pack offers the long time fans an opportunity to get back in the series. While there is not much of upgrade in term of visuals, the frame rate is dramatically improved, which results in a smoother experience overall.

A sadly barebones “up-res” re release that’s lacking the polish of Capcoms recent Resident Evil remasters and even their Mega Man collection. The games are no less fun, however the second is far and away the best. It’s just a shame that there’s not enough effort gone into this for fans and collectors, and the lack of the Case Zero and West download chapters as well as the fragmented release make the set feel incomplete.

The trio of Dead Rising remasters are much harder to indiscriminately recommend to any players

Dead Rising: Triple Pack is a decent packaging of the original three games but there is no reason to revisit this if you have already played the original ones.

While I enjoy the arcade flavor of gameplay with high score chases and B-movie acting, all three Dead Rising games are not suited for the current generation. Zombies are played out, well beyond their shelf life and now devoid of any interesting storytelling. Beyond the zombie genre, the loading times and hard save system can’t help but show this series’ age. Some off-the-wall characters keep things engaging, as does the curiosity of seeing what weapons are most effective against crowds, but overall they are best left as fond memories than contemporary experiences.

Sure, there’s some choice mechanics that don’t hold up, especially in the first game, but for the price, fans of the series or people looking to try this series out for the first time will get a lot for their money.

Waiting for the fourth installment of the series, Capcom is celebrating the tenth anniversary of Dead Rising with a remastered version of the three adventures of Frank West and Chuck Greene. The renovation work does nothing but conform to today's standards, presenting the three episodes in high definition with a frame rate set to 60 fps.

If you haven't played the original Dead Rising games this is your best chance to do it. But this remaster doesn't do nothing new that makes it deserve the attention of experienced Dead Rising players.

Dead Rising Triple Pack is a great remastered version of the original videogames. Their graphics are smoother and with a better resolution, thus creating a better version.
