Ghost Recon Breakpoint doesn't do anything new but still provides a lot of fun, if you're willing to slow down and play tactically. The game falls short in many areas and doesn't quite keep up with it's competition but shooter and stealth fans will have a blast. Performance issues do hinder the experience and some questionable design choices left me baffled. If you're a huge third-person shooter fan and love open-world games, you wont regret giving it a shot, provided you check your expectations at the door.

Ghost Recon Breakpoint provides everything and more that fans of Wildlands loved, but the game is not without its issues.

In short Breakpoint is a title that will guarantee the fan of the Wildlands a dose that is well-rounded by the ballistic event, albeit with a complementary balance in the production of a second step ahead, as well as a certain aspect.

Unbalanced missions, poor optimization on Xbox One FAT drag down the overall good game that Ghost Recon: Breakpoint is.

If you can look past the flaws, it can be a fun title that evokes a similar reaction as Wildlands.

Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Breakpoint will get some extra content, but it's clear that the focus of the game is now the multiplayer part, with the single-player working only as an afterthought. I can only hope that Breakpoint is only a step towards a more polished experience.

Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Breakpoint proves adding more isn’t always better, with the addition of half-baked loot and survival mechanics that don’t really provide anything of note to the game.

Ghost Recon: Breakpoint is a tactical shooter with arcade elements that brandishes a new look, the looter-shooter. Though the game could stand on its own without that element, it at least doesn’t take away from the core gameplay.

While there is no lack of stuff to do — story missions, side quests, and faction missions, not to mention the multiplayer PvP Ghost Wars suite which is the marquee feature for many players — not all of it is engaging and most all of it has been done before and better, not only by other shooters but by other games in the Ghost Recon franchise.

Let's get it over with: Ghost Recon Breakpoint is only half successful. If the technical side leaves us with the impression, in some ways, of an unfinished beta, what leaves the most bitterness in our mouths is the failure to dare with the survival element, which could have brought us all back to the early days of the franchise. Despite what has now been said, however, Ghost Recon Breakpoint still manages to entertain those who play it, especially if you decide to live the adventure together with other "comrades-in-arms". We're sure that Ubisoft, with the release of some corrective patches, can give its fans a very good and exciting gaming experience. However, as we write these lines, the impression is that perhaps it would have been legitimate to expect a little more.

While it contains disappointing pay-to-win microtransactions, the game can be thoroughly enjoyed for 100+ hours if you’re the kind of person that loves to explore and take on tougher enemies.

At its heart Breakpoint is a good open-world shooter, that is plagued by numerous problems and questionable mechanics.

More of the same with some unnecessary missteps, Ghost Recon Breakpoint feels like one step forward, two steps back for the Ubisoft tactical shooter.

Breakpoint, in its nature has an interesting and enjoyable gameplay that unfortunately hasn't been well integrated in the world of the game. Tiresome side quests, depthless and cliche story, forgettable characters and various technical issues doesn't let the game offer a refreshing experience for the players. However, lack of competitive and strong titles in tactical shooter genre is the reason for this series to become the only option for the fans of this genre. Abundance of shameless microtransactions is another reason to reduce the experience for the players to the lowest amount possible.

Ghost recon: Breakpoint is an ambitious sequel with so much innovation, and it actually does a great job in terms of narrative and main quest missions. But most of those changes are nothing but disasters. Meanwhile, I suffered a huge number of bugs all the time during the playthrough. Ubisoft should do better next time.

There's a good chance that the game will improve in the next few months or a year, and at that point, players can easily jump into the game and enjoy the hell out of it. At launch, however, Breakpoint makes sense if you want to get into a looter shooter that isn't full of fantastical weaponry or you aren't playing The Division 2 anymore.

Ubisoft might have excessively applied its open-world formula in the creation of Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon: Breakpoint. Even with a great map and yet a good gunplay, uninspiring activities, a story without direction and forcing the game into an even bigger version of The Division clearly do not fit in with everything the series has featured in decades. While the cooperative factor may motivate you to tackle this arduous task, it is only valid with low investment and a lot of patience.

A fun if wildly unpolished title that deviates from the series established identity. Some solid stealth mechanics and great feeling gunplay offset the often broken feeling the rest of the game suffers from.
