GreedFall fails to achieve greatness, but it's the start of something great. With enough time and money, a sequel would be much better since all the downsides of the original are easy to address.

Greedfall isn't bad by any means and you can tell that Spiders gave it their all this time. However, they weren't able to fulfill their huge ambitions completely. The competition remains superior.

Disappointing is the best word to describe GreedFall.

There are plenty of gripes to contend with in GreedFall, but the striking setting, flexible character building, and rock-solid action RPG core make it easy to recommend to fans of the genre.

GreedFall is a good game that despite its technical flaws can be a great way for lovers of the genre to pass their time, while they wait for the next truly epic RPG.

If you're looking for a good scenario, an intriguing story and nicely created world in a RPG, then Greedfall is your game. But if gameplay mechanics and action is more important for you, then maybe you should wait for a sale to give this a chance.

Greedfall is an enjoyable jaunt, but it follows its influences a little too closely and fails to engage with its narrative themes in any meaningful manner.

Anyway, Greedfall is an average action RPG offering lots of quests and a competent combat system. While the game's pace is quite slow and the graphics aren't great, there's still lots of hours of gameplay on offer here for genre fans to sink their teeth into.

Greedfall is the kind of game where you really need to be into the story to be able to look past its faults and still enjoy it.

I enjoyed my time with GreedFall, but it's already failed to leave a lasting impression on me. Its best moments shine bright and show how much potential Spiders has to develop in this style of RPG, but it isn't cohesive enough to work in concert. GreedFall is certainly worth checking out if you're aching for the old days of BioWare, but it's a tough sell for most others.

GreedFall is an ambitious RPG with a ton of heart and a lot to love that ultimately succumbs to a stilted, empty world and refusal to engage its themes in a meaningful way.

When I first saw Greedfall, I wanted to believe that it could, in spite of a charged setting, explore complex ideas. Instead, it skims the surface all the way up to its weak conclusion.

GreedFall is the biggest example of the evolution of its developer, that created a great action RPG for a market lacking in good options at the moment. With an interesting storyline, deep RPG system and pleasing combat, Spiders' game showcases qualities that should please Dragon Age orphans, even though there is still a lot of refinement left for an even better experience.

GreedFall is Spiders' most ambitious RPG title to date, and it certainly shows. It features a great story and deep lore, with interesting characters and setting. However, it's brought down by its lower production values and janky combat, as well as the occasional technical issue that arose from time to time.

Greedfall, the latest release from Spiders, reminds you of some of the best classic RPGs, but it fails when it comes to mixing all those classic gameplay mechanics with new and modern ones. Some very good RPG elements and great story telling are there to enjoy from, but some annoying issues including technical problems, weak combat system and the game's protagonist character design are also there to ruin your joy. In the end, Greedfall can be considered a good RPG, especially for the old school fans, but it is certainly not for everybody.

If you want to take on the role of a diplomat with a lot of character and dialogue choices, GreedFall is still worth picking up. There is a great world and story here waiting to be explored if you can look past its shortcomings. If your the type of player that skips cut-scenes and dialogue, look elsewhere.

Despite a small development team and limited budget, a lot of thought and effort has gone into designing the interwoven narrative and gameplay elements in GreedFall, with nothing feeling underutilised or overdone.

Like many first titles in a newly born series, GreedFall is a game that features a great idea with a flawed execution. At times, it feels that the game is unsure of what it wants to be and what exactly it wants to show to the players, which brings out its imperfections. I hope that overtime Spiders has a chance to iron out the identity of the game and manage to withstand the weight of the expectations that will now fall into their laps.

Greedfall is an ambitious RPG with several unique mechanical hooks, character builds and combat encounters that unfortunately buckles under the weight of a bloated and tedious narrative that often turns everything into a repetitive chore

Loot, shoot, cast magic, melee and slay strange creatures in the mysterious island of Teer Fradee. If you enjoy making plenty of choices from narrative decisions to combat builds you'll enjoy your time in GreedFall. While it doesn't do anything ground breaking, this title will offer you a decent storyline, a number of playstyles and the option to choose your party. For those looking for a well-polished title, they may want to look elsewhere, but Spiders has created plenty to experience with many of hours of gameplay. Even after 20 hours you will find there is still a lot to discover.
