Warsaw succeeds in delivering a good turn-based combat experience alongside a distinctive art style that completely feets the game theme. However, some other gameplay components like moving in the map section of the game have lots of problems that decrease the game value. Some of the problems can be solved with updates but some of them are rooted in the gameplay and can't be fixed with patches. It also doesn't use the full potential of its story settings. In the end, if you're a fan of turn-based tactical strategies and like games such as Darkest Dungeon, then Warsaw is a good choice for you to play.

Five hours into a session, the player could be forgiven for thinking that only half that time has gone by. WARSAW has an addictive quality that comes from sublime gameplay and a pervasive feeling of desperation. ‘Just one more mission,’ goes the refrain. ‘Just one more’ until the final mission is complete, and the game comes to its shattering end. WARSAW may be short, but as an engaging history lesson and an engrossing game, it warrants any number of replays.

Warsaw is a good installment in the dungeon crawler genre with its historical theme, excellent artstyle, and atmosphere carrying the experience. However, it can feel tedious at times with the slow responsiveness of skills during combat and some grindy situations in combat.

Warsaw cannot be defined as a mere clone of Darkest Dungeon, because it has its personality and a gameplay with a lot of combinations. Pixelated Milk has created a game that deserves a chance if you like the genre and/or if you want to learn more about what happened during the Uprising.

Warsaw is a tactical-RPG, a tribute to the hellish Darkest Dungeon: it's cruel, it's hard and it's also a bit unfair.

Warsaw combines the backdrop of the 1944 uprising with a tough-as-nails tactical roguelike, but bugs and design flaws compromise the experience.

Warsaw has moments of brilliance that left me wondering how a game can have such lofty highs, only to be brought careening down by some truly head-scratching design choices.

WARSAW is a solid tactical strategy role-playing game. It suffers from some of the same antics that drive me crazy in other games in the genre, with a bizarre way of calculating hit ratios. The randomized events and absolutely stunning graphical depiction of the game more than makeup for it. For those doubly interested in World War 2 and tactical strategy, this is a great title to look into.

Extremely rough around the edges but even in its current state this is an engrossing and tension-filled strategy role-playing game that offers a very different perspective of WWII.

All in all, Warsaw is a solid foundation, but the balancing issues may make it difficult for players to love.

Warsaw is a turn-based RPG that combines the gameplay and style of Darkest Dungeon with the real-world setting of WW2 Poland.

A fascinating historic backdrop, an original artistic direction, a compelling gameplay structure, but only one, inexorable difficulty level which often seems more unfair than faithful.

WARSAW wants to be a mashup of World War II and Darkest Dungeon but doesn't bring anything new to the table. WARSAW is a blatant Darkest Dungeon copy with no innovation or unique gameplay mechanics whatsoever. Everything that it might go as original in WARSAW exists in Darkest Dungeon in a slightly different form. Add to that the design flaws, bugs, and balancing issues and you have a subpar experience that can't be balanced by the tense atmosphere and interesting setting.

Whatever Warsaw lacks in gameplay depth, it gives back in atmosphere and style, and at the end of the day it is a good dungeon crawler/historical game that sometimes gets unfairly difficult.

Warsaw has the makings of a genuinely fascinating, unyielding tactical game with a lot of heart and reverence for the events it’s based on. Still, as is, it’s currently a hard sell unless you’re really intent on a challenge that, while thematically resonant, often feels more arbitrary than it is complex.

Warsaw is challenging at times to the point of harsh realism and it has an assortment of foes to take out. But, with mechanics that are downright arcadey and odd, Warsaw's missteps mar what could've been a brilliant look at a major event in Poland's history during World War II.

Warsaw is a tactical turn-based game with some interesting aspects, although some of them hurt more than help. The setting is neat and the plot has real stakes, which is nice in a wartime game. The injury system along with ammo management will likely be a hit or miss for many.

Warsaw, despite all its bugs and lack of strong content, shows a serious promise. Looking at its roadmap, one can definitely say it'll become a much better game in future.

I can’t recommend WARSAW to you in the current state. I’d give it a few months wait before checking it out again.

Warsaw offers great visuals, solid music and appealing story telling, but it could have been a much better game than what it is now if not for so many gameplay issues.
