Even though Bayonetta and Vanquish are sliding into our hearts again and people should definitely play them, this definitely isn’t one of the better remasters out there.

For a reasonable price you can own Bayonetta and Vanquish – two of the greatest action games ever made, and they’ve aged like a fine Japanese wine, proving exactly why PlatinumGames is the best in the business when it comes to character-driven action experiences.

Vanquish remains practically untouched and its excellent quality is still shown here as a fantastic action game. Unfortunately, the game's transition to the current generation is below expectations.

Both Games and especially Vanquish, are still after around 10 years worth a look for newcomers. Despite the lack of real new features or optimization, you should still give the games a chance if you haven't played them yet.

Bayonetta and Vanquish are still as good games as they were 10 years ago. We have already played them before at 4K and 60fps on PC, but if you are not part of the master race and have never tried such jewels, congratulations.

Whether you were a witness to its glory in its original context, or whether you’re just reading about it for the first time in 2020, Vanquish is an experience worth having.

Good bundle with two absolute action classics, which were lovelessly ported to the 4K era.

The gameplay of these action classics remains as awesome as it was ten years ago, but as a remaster it doesn't really up the ante

Bayonetta & Vanquish 10th Anniversary Bundle is a great collection for fans of PlatinumGames and those who have long wanted to touch the beautiful, but did not have the opportunity due to the lack of necessary systems. Support for 4K screens, dynamic gameplay, charismatic characters and spectacular moments should please all fans of the genre. It's a pity that some problems related to the age of the projects were not fixed when porting, such as sometimes blurry textures, but otherwise Bayonetta and Vanquish are still great.

Given Bayonetta & Vanquish 10th Anniversary Bundle is based on two fairly well-known games from about a decade ago, there is only so much you can say. Both remain extremely engaging and I instantly found myself remembering why I loved both of these games. Even if the story is a bit of a weak point, both titles remain extremely engaging and still better than a fair number of games that release today. The only real downside to the collection is, again, the dated look. But, at roughly $20 apiece, it's easy to justify this ride regardless of this being your first or fifth run.

PlatinumGames is now one of the most respected developers in our industry, and it’s due to titles like Bayonetta, and Vanquish. There’s no doubt that it’s most due to the success of the sassy and sultry lass in black, who won the hearts of millions of gamers out there. Her dominate attitude, her lust for vengeance and action, and her impeccable gunplay makes her one of gaming’s leading lady’s.

As a collection, or individually, Bayonetta and Vanquish remain perfectly formed examples of PlatinumGames' exquisite mastery of action gaming. Here, in 4K, they've never been better.

These games are still two of the great ones but theses remastered could have done more.

Of the two games in the re-release pack, Bayonetta is the one that stands out the most, as it is easily the most fun. Shooter fans might have some fun with Vanquish, but anyone who likes action hack-and-slash titles such as God Hand or Devil May Cry should grab a copy of Bayonetta immediately, if not before.

Graphically, Bayonetta & Vanquish 10th anniversary bundle has not improved that much, other than being upscaled to 4K and 60fps. But the gameplay still feels fresh and there are not many titles currently on the market that can offer the same experience and quality.

Platinum Games’ Bayonetta & Vanquish 10th Anniversary Bundle is amazingly good value. While you will probably get more bang for your buck with Bayonetta, both are fantastic action games that hold up very well today. Sure, some gameplay features and plot aspects have not aged all that well over the last decade. However, if you are even a passing fan of action games, this bundle is a great way to experience how the company started.

Playing these titles does not get stale and while it is frustrating that Sega refused to celebrate these classic games with more extras and additional content, they do stand on their own merits even a decade later.

Despite definitely showing their age in some respects, both Vanquish and Bayonetta hold up extremely well against modern counterparts when it comes to the pitch perfect gameplay. If you missed either of these titles upon their initial release, there's really no excuse to not give them a look in if you're even slightly a fan of the third person action genre.
