Jack Move Reviews
Its story is the same old cyberpunk sci-fi you've heard before, but Jack Move's invigorating battle system, winsome characters and gorgeous animation make this Japanese-style RPG worth a look.
It may not last terribly long, but Jack Move manages to pack in all the important elements needed for an excellent cyberpunk JRPG adventure. The inventive battle system, enchanting world, and appealing graphics all come together to make for a perfectly paced, gripping, and memorable release that no RPG fan will want to miss out on, and that goes double for time-poor genre aficionados. It's not often that you see a JRPG that leans so hard into science fiction tropes, and Jack Move makes the most of every minute of its runtime. Highly recommended.
Jack Move is a sensational RPG that won't take you months to complete, with a gripping story and fantastic combat.
Jack Move is an abbreviated JRPG that feels as satisfying as some of the longest classics in the genre. With a great, nuanced battle system and a well-developed cyberpunk world, Jack Move shows that you don't need 50 hours to deliver a great story with memorable characters. This is a game for fans of the 16-bit era of JRPGs, who should not hesitate to pull the trigger.
Jack Move is a fantastic and bite-sized RPG with some incredibly interesting character building. The story feels too jam packed and tonally inconsistent, but it and the characters are enjoyable for what they are. While I'm not a fan of the art style, it does what it sets out to do for the most part and is accompanied by some excellent jams.
Jack Move doesn’t reinvent the wheel, but is a gridding chrome rim (to use in-game slang).
Jack Move has a lot of great mechanics and customization that ultimately doesn’t get utilized due to some poor balancing. The art design and music are fantastic and we hope to see more from this world.
Developer So Romantic crafts a concise RPG with Jack Move that stands out with its original cyberpunk-themed turn-based mechanic and retro aesthetics.
Jack Move is a great RPG inspired by classics of the genre that, despite stumbling a bit with developing its story, delivers a great combat system and a very immersive world that make the time investiment well worth it.

Visually the game's pixel art is a treat to look at, and this is only bolstered by the fantastic soundtrack that accompanies it. Bright Town feels alive and NPCs have their own side stories that happen as the main story progresses, encouraging me to talk to every NPC at every possible opportunity to learn about things like the woman dating a mafia runner or the two hacker sisters who are clearly on another level. If you enjoy the cyberpunk aesthetic and want a short RPG to spend a weekend on, Jack Move is absolutely the place to go for a good time.
Fans of Cyberpunky vibes, turn-based battling, and a bit of techno-jargon being thrown around should enjoy this one
Jack Move starts off enchanting with a beautiful visual presentation and a rousing soundtrack, but the technological magic quickly wears off. When we finally realize it, the game is over and all that's left is the feeling that the hours spent were not well spent.

Jack Move does not exploit its full potential, but it is still an enjoyable game for fans of the cyberpunk genre.

Jack Move is exactly what you'd expect. Maybe too much so, bordering on generic at times. Other than a same-y but enjoyable narrative, a few fun battles, and some light puzzle work, there are no exciting twists to pull you in. But you don't always need that. Not all RPGs need to be 40-60 hour epics and Jack Move proves there's a place for the shorter contained experiences too. It proves that some great aesthetics and some fun writing can be more than enough to anchor otherwise generic RPG action.
Jack Move’s fresh, dystopian cyberpunk adventure offers a quick and merciful reprieve from the genre’s exhaustive trappings.
Jack Move is a modern JRPG that pays homage to its origins by bringing a very casual experience of a genre that usually demands a lot from players with a well-written plot, well-built characters and simple gameplay to master. It is great for those looking for a less demanding, but still satisfying, experience in this classic video game genre.

Jack Move is brilliant. It is a bite-sized JRPG that will appeal to both newcomers like myself and seasoned veterans of the genre. A beautiful art style, captivating story, interesting characters, funny dialogue, compelling battle system and off-the-charts charm all blend together to make this one of my favourite gaming experiences of 2022.
Jack Move is a short experience but is filled with some good ideas and rewarding gameplay.
The nearly ten-hour adventure is fun and enoyable, with attractive artwork, but the game doesn’t reach that next level as it ultimately brings very little new to the table.
Blending modern pixel art with classic turn-based combat is the team at So Romantic, developers of the new and exciting game, Jack Move. The short but impressive title does a terrific job of providing a safe and familiar turn-based experience with a warm and heartfelt story.
